A south facing small patio is accessed from the larger bedroom and outside the kitchen there is a decking area with table and chairs. Om Shanti is nestled in a wooded valley with sounds of the nearby river flowing. The garden is green and luscious, ferns, camellias and granite boulders all help capture the magic essence of Cornwall. It is fully enclosed, perfect for well behaved dogs, please note there is a charge for each dog staying.
Situated on the edge of a pretty village, just outside Helston, all facilities of town are only a mile away, including twenty four hour supermarket. There are some nice local walks, cross the stepping stones and follow the river along to the National Trust Penrose Estate and walk around Loe Pool and on to Loe Bar. The sandy and surfing beach of Praa Sands is a ten minute drive away.
Great location to explore Cornwall, such as The Lizard Peninsula, Lands End, Penzance and St Ives, Falmouth and the Helford river, Porthtowan and Gwithian.
The whole property and garden.
A charming Cornish village deep in a wooded valley. Brilliantly located to explore much of West Cornwall.

The house is pretty good and big. Lovely garden and quite environment are so suitable for family.
What a fantastic place to stay! The house is down a narrow no-through lane and the setting is simply beautiful. The description of the house is accurate and the garden is huge, just like a wood ... perfect for dogs! The house was very clean, the beds and sofas comfortable and there was plenty of hot water for relaxing baths and showers for 4. Porthleven is a short drive away and we found a great coffee shop called The Brew House selling really good Origin coffee and also ate at the amazing Clay Quay restaurant overlooking the harbour which specialises in fish and meat tapas dishes. We also visited St Ives and Watergate Bay ..always fabulous! Jane was a great host and answered all our questions before our trip promptly. Go ...you will love it!
We stayed at Om Shanti or 'Skeeber' as its called for 2 weeks and we had an amazing time. The location was so peaceful and beautiful. The garden was amazing for our 2 girls (4 and 7 yrs old) with big rocks to climb and the semi wild feel felt like an adventure for the girls to run around safely and freely.
The 2 bedrooms and open plan living was great for the 4 of us. With a nice large living area to make, paint, read, play games.
We all enjoyed the lack of a television and we didn't miss it!!! Though a better internet service would have been handy. We would really recommend this place to stay as a family, I think it would be too small for 2 families on holiday together. If we had to rate this lovely place we would rate it 9.5/10 Thanks fo a lovely holiday Om Shanti x
Jane was a very kind host, holding on to my requested dates for several weeks until I could confirm that we would indeed stay with her.
The barn is very secluded and the garden is full of plants and even some herbs, which was great.
No TV or Wifi but several board games and very comfortable sofas.
We were lucky with the weather, fantastic sunshine most of the week so were unable to make use of the log stove (which looked great!).
Our host was friendly, her information was accurate and responded quickly to text messages once we were there and had a query. The location is very quiet & although there are quite a lot of houses around you have to get into the car for basic shopping , pub etc. But huge Tesco nearby, garage & Helston town is close too. Nice walks possible. House has no phone, internet, TV which is refreshing but takes a little while to get used to. Beds use futon-type mattresses. It was clean, everything worked well, spacious and it has a charming quirky style about it.
Fantastic tucked away location. House was immaculate, quiet and creatively decorated. Small issue with electric trip switch on arrival, but host quickly sorted, despite gone 11pm. Certainly be staying again when in the area next.

About the Host, Jane
You've probably already guessed from my listing, I love colour! I'm a painter and you will see some of my work on the walls. I like that Airbnb attracts lovely, interesting people and it feels like a friend, or friends of friends have stayed in my house. Usually in the city, it's always special to escape to Cornwall and walk the coastal paths and absorb the sea! Hope you enjoy it as much as me! :)
