Lovingly restored stone cottage with amazing Inglenook fireplace. One large double and one twin-bedded room. Parking. Garden, BBQ, patio area. Local English Pub, and fantastic local Co-Op with ATM and post office both within a 2 minute walk.

The space
This self-catering country cottage offers sleeping accommodation for 4 persons: one large double and one large twin-bedded room.

For occasional overnight use or to accommodate a child or the elderly, there is also a double futon downstairs.

Guest access
Although there is central heating throughout, In the lounge is a fully working Inglenook Fireplace (logs for burning can be found in the back garden) for those cosy nights in if it gets chilly.

There is a television , radio a bookcase containing books, games and local literature. Sit back and relax in the large settee with matching easy chair and footstool.

The Lounge can be separated from the Dining Room if desired, by closing the large curtain. The dining room is furnished with an Edwardian dining table and four chairs and a large sideboard. An original Victorian Fireplace is now working via gas, and gives immediate, coal effect, heating.

In the corner of the room is a fitted cupboard which houses an ironing board, iron and vacuum cleaner. There is a double futon which can offer additional sleeping accommodation if desired.

The kitchen in the cottage is equipped with everything you will need. It is compact, however contains gas cooker, fridge/small freezer compartment, washer/dryer machine and micro-wave.

The kitchen also houses the central heating/hot water boiler unit with controls. Hot water is on constant supply on demand.

Situated off from the kitchen, on the ground floor, is the bathroom which has toilet, large wash-basin, a large double-ended bath as well as a walk-in double-size shower.

Watch your head as you pass through the door into the main bedroom. Room height is good, but the door is crooked and low (people were much shorter in those days!)

This lovely bedroom now has a solid Oak panelled floor. The windows are a real feature and reach down to the floor. Look up to see the original beam and enjoy a coffee by the windows whilst seated in the comfy chairs.

There is a modern style side dressing unit with plenty of drawers (where lives a small hair dryer) and one large free-standing wardrobe. The small wardrobe in the corner is by design! The 5 ft bed has a chandelier above!

The low beam is a feature in this twin bedded room (as long as you are not too tall!). The window overlooks the rear garden. This room is fully carpeted and decorated in Old English creams... It has a feature handmade fitted wardrobe and a kidney shaped dressing table.

Access to the rear garden is through the kitchen area. Here you will find a neat, well maintained garden with two patio areas, one next to the lawn and a winding gravel footpath leading up the stone steps to the top patio. There is a Barbeque unit (usually housed in the garden shed) and patio table and chairs for four. A rotary washing line is also available and lives in the shed.

One cupboard in the lounge (locked) and one cupboard in the main bedroom is for owners use only, otherwise, guests are welcome to enjoy all of the amenities of the cottage.

Business
Hi, I am an early retired Snr Manager from BA. "Enniskerry" - The Loves' cottage is our holiday home and "The Haven" is attached to our main home in leafy Ascot. I started life in Hotel Management and have been involved in customer service ever since! We have been informed that both our properties offer a cosy home from home alternative to Hotels. We used to pay extortionate fees for star ratings but feel that the personal touch via our own websites and 3rd party internet sites is far more important. If our guests are happy, then we are happy. Tony and I have travelled extensively and these days prefer self catering and cosy "nests" to Hotel living. We love people and our leisure time is spent with our little Jazz/blues band where we offer our music as support for charity events. We are a band of 8 and Tony plays guitar and Gill sings! We feel that after spending our lives preparing for the future, that the future for us is now! We are happy to answer to "G & T" - who could forget that?
