Doreen's place felt private and cosy for our stay in Napa. Doreen was really easy to communicate with and accommodating where possible regarding check in and out times which was super helpful. The house is homey and intimate - there are lots of personal items which was charming i…
The home is in a beautiful vineyard with idyllic views and scenery. Doreen was flexible with check-in times which we so appreciated. Unfortunately, we found the cleanliness of the home to be a bit disappointing. It felt as though someone who had been living/staying there had left…
Response from Doreen:
Thank you, Talia, and sorry you were disappointed in those areas. My cleaning person was there before you arrived and is very thorough. I double checked with her and she maintains that her work before your arrival met her usual standards. (She is also a Buddhist minimalist with allergies.) The pool is cleaned weekly (and summer deep cleans are 2x instead of 4x/mo.) though there has been some foliage "dust" lately when it's windy that drifts to the pool bottom in between cleanings and is unavoidable, as well as minimal. The house is older and some things like pool chaise cushions are worn but clean. No other review says house is not true to its photos—in fact many mention it looks exactly like the photos. Despite this review I hope you enjoyed your stay and Napa visit anyway.
