Welcome to Bay Retreat at The Sands, a beautiful, serene apartment with incredible sea views from your private balcony. Easily reached by train from London, welcome to Cornwall!

Perfect for couples, Bay Retreat is a one-bedroom apartment just a 5-minute walk from the world-famous Carbis Bay. It's a 3-minute train journey or a beautiful coastal walk to the bustling holiday town of St Ives which is full of incredible local restaurants and shops, and home to some of the UK's best beaches.

The space
With a fully equipped kitchen, spacious living and dining area, and large modern bathroom, Bay Retreat is the perfect home away from home as you enjoy your Cornish holiday.

Guests enter the gated complex with their key provided and can use the elevator to travel to the first floor.

On entering the apartment, you are met with a spacious hallway with ample space for coats and shoes. You’ll notice at this point the glorious under-floor heating throughout the apartment.

The biggest space in the apartment is the open plan kitchen, dining and living area with incredible views over St Ives Bay. The generous proportions are rarely found in Cornish holiday lets.

The fabulous kitchen features all the appliances you need: washer dryer, electric cooker, gas hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher, espresso coffee machine, kettle, toaster, etc as well as a good selection of dishes and pots & pans. Everything required for cooking up a storm! The stylish breakfast bar is the perfect spot for a complimentary St Ives Gin and Cornish tonic.

The dining area has space for up to 4 guests for a sit-down meal and is also the ideal spot for getting any work done on a laptop.

Moving into the living area you will be delighted with the stylish interiors and feel like you are in an upmarket boutique hotel. The comfortable sofa is huge(!) and there’s a television with Netflix access and live TV.

Off the living area is the private, covered balcony where you can smell the salt spray while enjoying your morning coffee, or cheers glasses of champagne while watching the glorious Cornish sunset.

The boutique hotel feeling continues in the double bedroom as you find a beautiful, relaxing space with luxury bedding. There is plenty of storage space with a fitted wardrobe and drawers as well as a large mirror and side tables.

The fully tiled, modern bathroom features a lovely bath and shower, and of course that under-floor heating! Enjoy a lovely fluffy towel and relax in the tub!

The outside areas of the property feature beautifully manicured private lawns with sub-tropical borders.

Private parking is available on-site within coded security gates.

The beautiful west of Cornwall is just waiting to be explored from Bay Retreat. Take a 5-minute stroll down to Carbis Bay Beach. This postcard-perfect cove offers crystal clear waters, soft golden sand and has Blue Flag status.

Watersports enthusiasts can take to the seas and explore in kayaks or learn to SUP paddleboard whilst little ones splash in the shallows under the watchful eye of the seasonal lifeguards. Carbis Bay beach offers a cool beach cafe, stylish bars and tempting restaurants so the whole family can enjoy a day at the beach.

The South West Coast path is moments away leading keen walkers up and over some of the most stunning cliffs and headlands. The branch line train shuttles to and fro along the coastline into the centre of St Ives, leave the car behind and enjoy the short 3-minute journey known as one of the most beautiful in the country!

St Ives is the main draw to this area. Wander through the traditional narrow streets to the harbour front and soak up the comings and goings of this unique and picture-perfect coastal town. Stylish cafes open their doors for delicious breakfasts and hearty suppers, the eclectic galleries inspire with their landscapes of Cornwall and shops brim with stylish clothes, books and homewares. Choose from 5 stunning beaches including Porthminster, Porthmeor (incredible surf) and Porthgwidden. Day trips are an easy option so pack up the car and spend the day exploring from as far west as Land’s End, right up the coastline to Padstow in the north or Fowey to the south.
