Description

Stunning, early 18th century, four bedroom home with virtually unrivalled views over Cawsand Bay. Master bedroom with four poster bed and ensuite shower-room. 20ft sitting room with bay window and large kitchen with Rangemaster cooker.

Relax in the 20ft family sitting room, with large leather corner sofa, open fire place and bay window overlooking Cawsand Bay. Big kitchen, with Rangemaster cooker, large table and open fireplace again. Master bedroom, with ensuite shower-room, four poster bed and dual aspect windows, with views across the bay. This unique, sea-front, early 18th Century home, Norr Rock was originally built as a Sea Captain's house and has since been a Convent, a Retirement home for "Genteel ladies" and a hotel during the 2nd World war and later. In the last 15 years it has been a family home for my four children, but now they are grown up it is time to open up our home to allow guests to enjoy, as much as we have, the welcoming atmosphere and unrivalled views! . This quirky, unusual home - with many original features, including many stained glass windows and doors - has been featured in House Beautiful and will be unforgettable whether you stay just a few nights or more.

Large sitting room with bay window over the sea. Family-sized kitchen, with two oven Rangemaster cooker and induction hob. Family bathroom and separate shower-room. Small rear courtyard. Four bedrooms with one ensuite. Please note that the fourth bedroom has a triple bunk-bed (Queen bed on bottom) and is inter-connecting with the third bedroom.

I live in Italy at the moment, but have a housekeeper and property manager who attend to any little issues like lost keys etc!

Beautiful, time-forgotten village with little, quaint streets and alleyways. People very friendly and look out for one another

There are regular buses and a pedestrian ferry to Plymouth from Cremyll and a lovely little ferry which runs from the village beach over to the Barbican, in Plymouth in the summer months

We had a lovely stay at Janette's house. We were made to feel completely at home, the rooms were very comfortable, and the location of the house is superb. Thank you Janette!

The position of the house on the seafront is its best selling point. You should stay for this alone. The two local pubs are great and it was a superb weekend away from the bustle of London. I'd love to stay again in the Summer, but was lovely to light the log fire and be cosy in the living room.

This is really a beautiful house/apartment in a lovely village. The views are stunning, and many of the bedrooms and living areas look over the sea, just a few metres from the house. The house décor is great, renovated for modern functionality but with lots of original features, character and originality. There is a nice wood fire in the living room. Everything was as advertised, if anything there was a bit more space for sleeping than we had planned for. It was conveniently stocked with the basics, towels, spare toiletries, kitchen inventory etc etc. Janette was out of the country at the time of our visit but was very quick to respond to emails, and it was no problem at all to check in to the property. The village was very friendly, we visited over new year and experienced the traditional new year's eve fancy dress which seemingly everyone in the village and his dog (literally) joined in with, and also the bracing new year's day swim in the sea. One of the locals even gave us some firewood before we had found where the house supplies were stashed. Fully recommend!

Janette's house is beautiful, we all thoroughly enjoyed staying here - in a beautiful location. The views are beautiful, the house is restful and we felt so at home. To hear the sea while you fall asleep, and to wake up with a view of the sea and coastline in Kingsand was such a treat.
