The space

Guests will enjoy an abundance of natural light in each room and gorgeous lagoon views where you will find alligators, turtles, egrets, heron, pelicans, families of ducks, and even the occasional bald eagle. Totally re-designed in January 2015 by a professional interior designer, our villa features hardwood floors, new furniture, and contemporary updates throughout--a modern and tasteful mix of form and function.

Our kitchen has been recently renovated with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances and is stocked with all the items necessary for casual as well as fine dining. You will enjoy the view of the sunset over the lagoon while having dinner on either the screened porch or in the dining room.

Our living room has been furnished with unique pieces from GDC Home. A luxurious sleeper sofa promises comfort while a lending library is available for good beach reads. And, of course, we have cable TV, a secure WIFI connection, and local telephone service.

Our villa’s master suite was designed with relaxation in mind. Furnished with a king-sized bed, flat-screen TV, and private bath with double sinks, granite countertops, and a large, beautiful frameless glassed-in shower with custom river rock floor, you'll have views of the lagoon and private access to the screened porch.

The generously-sized second bedroom offers two twin beds and a flat-screen TV. This room gets incredible morning light and, like the master bedroom, features an iHome docking clock radio and extra pillows and blankets to maximize your comfort.

Kiawah is an amazing and special place! If you haven't visited before, then let me encourage you to not wait another year! You will treasure the memories. Ashley's villa is clean and comfortable. The whole area of condos is quiet and relaxing. We rented bikes to get around the island, which was convenient and fun. Besides the pristine beach (which is about a two minute bike ride away) and amazing surf, we enjoyed the biking trails, wildlife, and a nearby park with playground, soccer pitch, and basketball court. There is a water park/pool, too, but we opted to enjoy the ocean. We went into Charleston for a day, which was super fun. We spent most of our time getting salty and sandy, so it was really nice that the villa had its own washer and dryer. And we cooked most of our own meals, so we used the dishwasher, too. Just remember to pack your own laundry and dishwasher detergent, because it's not provided. Other things I wish I would have packed: coffee for the Keurig and toilet paper. There are places to pick up groceries and supplies on the island, but they're rather pricey. No matter where you decide to stay on Kiawah, be sure to get up early and head to the beach to watch the turtle hatchlings make their way to the sea ((SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) for info about time of year that this happens).

Thank you, Sarah! Your feedback is much appreciated. So glad your family had a great vacation and I have asked my housekeeper to be sure to stock more detergents and TP for guests!

A memorable week with alligators and deer. Even an Osprey nest with two babies. Great local flavor from our 76 year old native Kiawah island transportation extraordinaire who took us grocery shopping and to the airport. Great referral from the grocery store service manager Maria. We had no car.

Ashley's place is just as pictured and just as advertised - newly renovated, clean, upscale and comfortable. The location is great, too - a short 5 minute walk or 2 minute bike ride to the beach. The island itself is lovely. VERY family friendly (we even saw little kids rolling around in the grass at the famous Ocean Course at dinner time), with 30 miles of bike trails. Plus, the beach is so firm and flat that you can ride bikes for miles in both directions right on the beach. Do be aware that when you don't rent through the resort itself, you don't have privileges at the various pools, and you'll pay full boat ($230+) to play any of the golf courses. That said, if what you're interested in is the beach, the ocean, walking and biking, you couldn't choose a better unit or location than Ashley's.

A quaint little villa on the island that perfectly suited our needs for the Kiawah Island half marathon. The owner was super helpful, friendly and easy to communicate with. As promised, we were walking distance to the race start which was much less stressful than commuting the morning of. Added bonus is also being walking distance to the beach and to The Sanctuary Hotel for dinner. I would highly recommend this owner and villa.

Visited Kiawah Island and stayed at Ashley's house was magnificent. The varanda was splendid and peaceful. She always promptly replied to our questions and gave us good tips nearby. Planning to go back again in the future. Best wishes and congrats for the hospitality.
