The host wasn't present, he has a housekeeper and representative (who only speaks French) to give you the key(s).
The only good thing about the place was it was on a private beach and in a very safe neighborhood, which is amazing for walking late nights!
Otherwise, the place wasn't particularly clean. The floor looks like it could potentially be white if had ever been mopped with clean water. The place have covered with cob webs and spiders in very visible places that should have been dusted. The furniture was very outdated, many pieces were visibly broken or unsteady. The bed is very hard and low, so if you have a bad back or any kind of joint problems you may wanna rethink this.
We had questions while there and emailed Henri twice without a response from him. Not the most professional experience. I've stayed a several Airbnbs and each host was overly accommodating and responsive even dying my stay.
The other properties in the complex were very modern looking and nicely decorated, as most properties had front rooms easily visible from their balconies. Henri's property could use many updates that likely would make anyone's stay more comfortable.
Separate advise from possibly avoiding this property is if your going to stay on the French side have a car. Because this property is near where many locals stay there aren't many buses or taxis without a long wait. You can walk to a bakery, grocery store or two restaurants nearby but getting to Marigot or the Dutch side can be challenging if you want to be conservative on hefty taxi fare.
