You have a direct view of the walking promenade and the palm trees on the beach right in front.
The old house is in the center of Mahahahual and has a unique view! It has a large, beautiful living and dining room, chill out zones & a large sunny terrace. We have 3 rooms, so you share the extra living space with the other guests and us as a family.

The space
CASA LILO, was previously a very run-down backpacker hostel.

We have converted it into our home in the last 2 years and can share this house with other great people. It has many open areas, so you are always in the fresh air throughout the house.

However, it is an old house and still needs renovation in many places.
However, the owners are selling the entire property this YEAR (2025) and thus remain with us and our guests, the last few months to enjoy this house directly on the beach.
We therefore ask for your understanding that this will no longer be invested in renovations.


Need to Know:
The house has only 3 rooms - a large family room and two small double rooms.

The entrance area is open and used as a storage area, for example., bikes, paddles, beach accessories, etc.

We only have cold water to offer, but since the water tank is on the roof, the water usually has a nice temperature.

We have two clean, friendly & lazy cats,...one has fallen in love and now are 3 cats that we are allowed to feed.

THIS UNIQUE PROPERTY IS SUITABLE FOR UNCOMPLICATED, YOUNG, OR YOUNG PEOPLE.
THIS is NOT A hotel!
If you're looking for luxury or a fancy location, this is the wrong place.

This is our home and we live here as a happy family with a young son of 1.5 years
This also makes clutter every day and thus also toys lie around or you stumble a plush toy.

It is a unique home with fantastic views. You are welcome to feel at home!

Guest access
The house has a large window front to the beach where there is a small wooden terrace for chilling as well as the entire common area.

It has a large table for working and/or eating, a living room with sofas and hammock . If you walk along the corridor along the room doors around the corner, you come to the sunny terrace which leads to 2 private bathrooms and the shared kitchen.

The beautiful beach is right in front of our house and on cruise ship free days it is completely empty and you can hang your hammock directly there. We also have 2 kayaks, which can of course be used by our guests for free.

During your stay
We ourselves also live in the house with our little son.
Since the whole house (except for the rooms), is a common area, we will certainly run into each other:).

But we very much respect the privacy of our guests and only interact if they wish. We also have our retreat area on another floor.

We welcome you to feel like home!

Other things to note
The house has many open areas, and e.g. you have to cross the terrace to get to the kitchen and bathrooms of Rooms SOL & LUNA....when it rains, it is better to take an umbrella to hand for a short time.


We are also right in the center of Mahahual - Surrounded by Local Mexican Life, Restaurants, Bars, Beach and Souvenir Stands.
In other words: in the middle of the action. Sometimes it can get a little louder on a weekend, sometimes nothing is going on - you truly cannot define it in advance.

Parking is available directly on the street, 10m away or around the "basketball & /soccer field (called"el DOMO"). It is very safe to park there! Mahahual is very quiet and safe in general!
