FIRST: THE BUROCRACY
Possession of a San Francisco Short-Term Rental Registration Certificate certifies that the registration certificate holder has agreed to comply with the terms of the San Francisco Short-Term Residential Rental Ordinance (San Francisco Administrative Code Section 41a). This ordinance does not require an inspection of the unit by the City for potential building, housing, fire or other code violations.
SECOND: THE FUN PART
If you are passing through San Francisco and need a place to stay for a few nights that is close to highways (2 minutes by car from 101 and 280), transportation (Muni buses and Bart) and lots of nice stores and restaurants (Cortland Avenue + Mission Street) in the friendliest neighborhood in the city, then this is the room for you. You have your own private bathroom and a room opening into a sunny yard. The room is very quiet and equipped with free wi-fi, a microwave + drip coffee maker and a small fridge for your breakfast needs. The bed is a very comfortable single bed (twin size). A lazy-chair for your reading needs and a comfortable office chair + desk in case you need to do any work at the computer complete the furnishing. When it is cold out, you can turn the heating on (we have an electric base board heater, very efficient). Just turn it off when you are not there, to help us keep our electrical bill in check. We live upstairs and will be happy to direct you around our pleasant neighborhood. We are also very close to the largest farmers' market and flee market in San Francisco.
We do need a deposit to confirm the reservation. Airbnb will collect it from you and will give it back to you 48 hours after your departure.
MINIMUM STAY: 4 nights.
When you apply, PLEASE WRITE A PROFILE describing where you live, what you do, have your PORTRAIT PHOTO (just you) posted in the query, add your interests/hobbies and something that can give us a better idea of you. Also, add any previous hosts' review of you as a guest. In addition, for your protection, in case you should fall ill and need emergency care while at my house, I will need to make a copy of your photo ID when you check in (and of course it is for my protection too :) ). You can also scan and email it to me, after I confirm your booking. Either way it is fine. Thank you for your cooperation.
Occasionally you may see our she CAT passing by your room door, she will not enter your room unless you invite her in. She is an outdoor cat and gets out through another pathway than your room. If you are not big on cats, you can just keep your door closed and she will be very discreet. But if you are very allergic, you may want to find another arrangement.
WIFI, fridge, microwave oven, tea kettle, toaster, a clipper card to charge with your money and use for public transportation.
Interaction with guests
I communicate with my guests constantly to make sure they have all the information needed to come to my place. Once they move in, I am there for them on a daily basis, for any additional information or need they may have.
IF YOU ARE A SMOKER, THIS ROOM IS NOT FOR YOU. PLEASE REFRAIN FROM BOOKING.
Please make sure to always lock our front door shut (to prevent our cat from getting out).
Always keep the screen to the yard closed, small creatures can come in from the yard (and we have raccoons).
Please dispose your garbage in the bins right outside our garage door. We provide you with garbage bags and we recycle (blue bin is for paper, glass and plastic containers; green bin is for food scraps and black bin is for regular garbage).
Cancel up to 7 days before your trip and get a 50% refund plus service fees back.

Hi, my name is Cecilia. I am from Rome but live in San Francisco. I love good food, books about history, philosophy, art, anthropology, and film. I dream about having free time to read good novels. I love classical music, jazz, arabic music, and traditional indian dance. My favorite travel destination: a hammock in the shade near the sea, preferably on a hill, a cold tea with lemon and sugar and a good book and also the desire to sleep without a work deadline.
As a guest I am independent and curious. As a host I like clear communication and would like for my guest to feel at home and welcome.
My motto: a day at the time.
