We have a lovely time - a really beautiful house in a magnificent setting. Our bedroom and bathroom were sumptuous, and our hosts were very welcoming. Breakfast was delicious.

Thanks to both Mads and yourself for a truly delightful stay. Your kindness and thoughtfulness were greatly appreciated; a lovely house, beautiful spot, delightful rooms and a lovely breakfast. We will have to make time to come again! Thank you.

Myself and a visiting friend stayed at Lazonby hall for one night. Lazonby Hall is a beautiful, Victorian home situated in the depths of the countryside (within walking distance of nearby villages). The hosts (Adrian and Madeleine) couldn't have been more welcoming and attentive. Nothing left to chance! The house itself was spotless, extremely spacious and cosy. We arrived and were welcomed by Adrian who showed us to our room and then made us a pot of tea so that we could relax in the living room. On Adrian's recommendation, we had booked a table at a traditional, cosy pub nearby which was the perfect way to spend an evening in the countryside. In the morning, a delicious breakfast was prepared for us and it was obvious that Adrian and Madeleine had taken account of our food preferences. We appreciated the home-made damson jam! We didn't feel rushed in the morning at all and had a pleasant chat with the hosts. I look forward to telling my friends and family about this wonderful place and intend to return myself! Thank you. Our only regret was not spending a few more nights here.

Staying at Lazonby Hall was a treat. Faultless. We were welcomed on our arrival after a long drive with a lovely pot of tea in the magnificent drawing room. Our roo took our breath away with the size and comfort. I was travelling with a friend and we're grateful for the space. The bathroom -delightful with modern thoughtful luxury, thick bathrobes and plentiful towels provided. there was just one suggestion of putting a plug board from the power point under the dressing table to enable ease of access to power. The garden could be made more of but this is just a minor thing. We went to eat dinner in a pub in a lovely village a couple of miles away - excellent. Amazed this fantastic AirB&b isn't solidly booked - it was worth every penny.

we just loved this place and what made it really special was Madeleine. She is so warm, friendly and welcoming. We had tea and biscuits in the drawing room which was so typically and beautifully English. Our room was immaculate and the bathroom enormous. It really was a joy to stay here
