I understand that the problem that bothered you the most is air conditioning
as an extra service and cost.
I would like to point out, as you probably noticed, that on the website air
conditioning and linen are clearly indicated as paid extra services on request
(which is a modality used by the vast majority of owners in Lipari).
There are two main reasons for this type of service policy.
Not all the guests are interested in air conditioning and in some months of
the year it is not necessary (up to now only two of the circa 100 guests I have
hosted have requested air conditioning).
Including air conditioning in the cost of the apartment would make the
majority of the guests pay a higher price for the apartment due to a service
they do not even use. This, according to me, is not fair.
Furthermore, an extra cost of 7 euros/day for air conditioning doesn't seem to
me "very ungenerous". The fee is the same since 8 years and it covers the
energy consumption and certainly not the cost of the air conditioning system.
Again, I feel sorry that your stay has been spoiled by this fact. You could
have contacted me for explanation and we could have worked out a solution
