Discover a secret meadow and spend summers days in the heart of rural Norfolk with a thatched Iron Age round house as your living room with a Yurt as your bedroom. With wood burning stove and secluded location a perfect quirky retreat.
The space
The most striking thing about the location is the Iron Age Round House, built in the traditional methods (but not all traditional materials!) set amongst living willow fences with a camp fire at its heart. Next to this is the yurt with the wood burning stove and bureau. There is gas cooking facilities in the Roundhouse and a large solar panel provides the electricity needs for running small items such as lighting and laptops, phone chargers etc.
Guest access
Toilets are basic - there are two eco friendly compost toilets. Hot Shower facilities are now available. There is running water on an outdoor sink but this has cold water only.
If you are missing the internet (!), there is great signal for most providers at the farm via 3G.
Wood is provided for the stove in the yurt or a camp fire.
Please bring your own bedding and towels.

The walks around this part of Rural Norfolk are beautiful. There is significant history to be found as Norfolk, and especially around here, Saxon Round Tower churches are common. Nearby Mattishall is also where the Mattishall Horde was discovered. Norwich is just 12 miles away and boasts an amazing Norman Castle and of course, Norwich Cathedral plus much much more.
