A stunning listed mill tucked away on the edge of Hathersage, Derybshire an idyllic village in the Peak National Park. The Music Mill pays homage to the buildings musical heritage as an intriguing location for making the first gramophone needles in the UK.

The space
The indulgence you need after experiencing the Peak District outdoor adventures on your doorstep. The Music Mill wows you, as you enter through the old workers entrance, into the stunning open plan living area. Enjoy the cavernous, social space; cook a feast for family & friends, catch up in front of the log burner, have a film night with the blue ray/DVD player or relax a while in the originally styled bathroom. For our younger guests (or the young at heart!) we have a games console with a small selection of games.

The Mill is hidden in the Derbyshire hills, by a stream at the edge of Hathersage Village. The Mill keeps its Victorian industrial appearance on the outside but now has contemporary comfort and decadent design on the inside.

The quaint village of Hathersage is within 5 minutes walk of the Mill with a wealth of history ....

The brother of Charlotte Bronte's school friend Ellen Hussey was vicar of Hathersage. In 1845, Charlotte stayed at the vicarage preparing for the return of the vicar and his wife from honeymoon. She spent weeks exploring the moors and the houses scattered among them. These, and the chiming church clock, all became part of her famous novel 'Jane Eyre'.Outlaw Robin Hood is said to have been born at Loxley, just eight miles from Hathersage. His lieutenant, Little John, is reputedly buried in Hathersage churchyard, in a grave measuring 11 feet from headstone to footstone.

Hathersage train station is in 5 minutes walking distance of the Mill.

The village is served by a public transport service.

Manchester Airport is the nearest airport and rail travel is available from the airport to Hathersage.
