Once this was a barn where the farmer had hay and cattle. We have kept the original space and there is now doors to separate rooms except for the bathroom. The integration outdoor indoor allows an unique experience being one with the nature.

The space
Gotland is really Swedish summer at its best. Experience the islands exotic nature, glittering sea and sun-soaked afternoons in this authentic Gotland country house, featured in several interior design magazines and books.

Totally renovated a few years ago, the house contains all the necessities for a carefree vacation, but keeps the rustic farmhouse feeling. The property also includes a smaller house, situated on the same lawn.

The closest beach is only a short bike ride away, and luckily enough, the beach is one of Gotlands finest. Within a 15 minutes drive you find food stores as well as the incredebly populuar Rute Stenugns Bakery.

The house is located in Hellvi, on the northeastern coast of Gotland. From Visby, where the ferry's and flights arrive, it is a 45 minutes drive to the house.

The Big House:
With the exception of the bath- and storageroom, the house is built without any dividing walls. This gives the house a very open feel and a very bright interiour. The big glass doors are fully openable, so during a hot day you can let the breeze go through the house and blur the limits of outside and inside.

The first floor holds a big dining table with room for well enough over ten people. The kitchen is modern with everything you need for light or advanced cooking. Dishwasher - yes.

The first floor have one double bed with room for two persons to sleep.

The bathroom and the storage room is also located on the first floor.

On the second floor we have one double bed and two single beds. The big windows enables you to get a fantastic view of the sunset and makes the house flood with light. The second floor, aswell, is built without any dividing walls.

The Small House:
For an additional 4000 kronor a week you can also rent the smaller house, situated on the same property. The house has a new kitchen and two seperate bedrooms. The master bedroom has one large bed, whereas the small bedroom has one bunk bed. In the livingroom there are two cauches/singelbeds. There is no bathroom in the small house, but a outhouse WC and shower on the backside.

You will have the access to the main house. There you have everything you need kitchen, bath, wash machine, dish machine, internet, toilette
If you wish you could also rent the second house a small cottage with 5 beds kitchen and outdoor toilette and shower.

The neighborhood is very typical for the north part of Gotland and Fårö with beautiful moors, long beaches where you could walk for hours by yourself and experience the un explored raw nature. You could take a swim in the sea or in the soapstone pounds, you have several fantastic pounds just round the corner from the house on the way to the beaches. Our house is the last one on the way to the sea and it takes you about ten minutes with bicycle. (we have 5-6 bicycles for you) Or if you like to socialize you could take the car drive teen minutes and come to the popular Rute Bakery or you go to the new upcoming Bungenäs where you have restaurants, exhibitions and a lot of things going on. You should also visit Furillen, an unexpected design hotel in an old industrial area where they have been photo shooting for all kinds of movies, commercial, fashion magazines,etc. There you could have a "fika" or a exellent dinner enjoying the sunset.
