Tim was in contact before and during our stay to make sure everything was OK and to give us useful information about the area and places to eat/drink, which we followed and enjoyed. The house and location are as described and we received a warm welcome from Tim's friends, Yannick and Geneviève, who look after it for him. The house is ideal for a family or, as in our case, two couples ( or three ), with plenty of space. The kitchen is well equipped and a pleasure to spend time in and we also enjoyed eating in the garden and using the barbecue. It is ideally situated, a stone's throw from the harbour and within walking distance of sandy beaches, the GR34 coast path, cafés and a boulangerie. Over the bridge, in a few minutes walk, is the small town of Le Guilvinec, where there is a market every Tuesday and Sunday, restaurants, shops, post office, tourist office and a busy fish market, where you can see the boats return at 4.30 each day and buy the recently landed catch. The boat repair yard at the entrance to the harbour is also interesting to see. Intermarché and Lidl are 5-10 minutes drive away. One can easily spend a holiday here without using the car at all as there is plenty to see and do if you like walking or beaching. However there are also plenty of interesting places to visit within easy reach in this corner of Brittany. We had an excellent holiday and would definitely recommend Tim's house and the general area.

We made a last minute decision to come to Treffiagat to celebrate the start of the new year and we were lucky to find this place. It was ideal in terms of location to our friends place, a beach , the port and the shops. The house is extremely comfortable and was well equipped and well maintained. We were there in the middle of winter with high winds , so kept the shutters close. Which was a shame as part of the beauty of the house are the large windows opening out to views of the port/garden. A summer return beckons.
