Charmingly restored stone cottage, perfectly located in Daglan in the middle of the Dordogne valley, amongst beautiful villages and chateaux. Sarlat-la-Canada, the medieval jewel of the area is only 15 mins away. Great for house-hunters, sleeps 4.

The cottage has an open plan living room with a well equipped kitchen/dining and comfortable lounge with French & British TV, DVD player, WiFi and Bluetooth docking station.

Guests have a covered terrace with picnic table, BBQ, large garden with lovely countryside views and plenty of outdoor seating. Private off road parking space.

Our house is next door and we are a family of Mum, Dad and 2 boys (11 & 9) - we are friendly but discreet. You won't know we're there but we can be to help and advise whenever you need us. We have a dog, who is quiet and polite, two kittens and a few chickens. Juliette has extensive experience in property purchases and can help if you're house-hunting.

Our hamlet is very pretty, on the top of a hill with great views around and plenty of nice walks and cycle rides. We are 5 minutes from Daglan, Cenac-et-St Julien and Domme, all of which have shops, markets, bars and restaurants.

There is no public transport, a car is an absolute must!

The parking space is next to the cottage and access is flat, there is a small step on entry and the living accommodation is all on one level inside. Although the property is not suitable for wheelchairs, it could be suitable for people of limited mobility - discuss your situation with us.

The house is absolutely charming, well equipped and comfortabe and everything works perfectly. It is a wonderful base from which to explore the beautifu Dordogne countryside. we stayed in a fairly narrow area, because there was so much to enjoy! We visited the Chateau de Milandes (Josephine Baker), La Roque-Gageac, Sarlat, Domme and Chateau de Castelnaud. We boated on the river and ate and drank very well indeed. Juliette was very helpful with recommendations for places to visit. Her advice also was very good on using Cenac as the best place to go for provisions. we had a great tie and would definitely recommend the cottage: Juliette was a delightful host. Juliette and her family were perfect hosts - great communication, lovely greeting and then on hand when we needed during the stay. The flat is very sweet and has everything you need. It's in a beautiful location and we would highly recommend staying here!

We were very warmly welcomed by not only Juliette but by the entire family! Juliette was generous with her advice about places to visit, both on and off the tourist track. The cottage and its environs were entirely consistent with the written description and provided a lovely home for two people (not a couple) sharing a space.

This is a little piece of paradise in probably the most beautiful part of France (well our favourite anyway). Juliette and Stuart are wonderful, wonderful hosts that were ready with advice and the gite is cosy and comfortable with everything we needed. It is conveniently located close to many attractions in the eastern Dordogne, and even the western ones aren't that far away either. I cannot recommend the gite and Juliette and Stuart as hosts, high enough.

I cannot recommend Juliette's Daglan cottage highly enough. It is perfectly positioned for exploring both the Dordgone and the neighboring Lot river valley. Juliette went above and beyond to make us feel at home, including suggesting nearby hidden gems that we would have otherwise missed. The property itself is beautiful (love the chickens and Roxy the dog) and the cottage is comfortable and spacious. Stay here!

We are an English family who have been living in this beautiful part of France since 1999. We love to share it with others, both tourists and property hunters. Juliette has extensive knowledge of the property market and would be delighted to help you search for your own piece of paradise.

We love travel and we try and get away somewhere 'long-haul' every couple of years, we're keen home exchangers and love interacting with people who live in the places we visit. We hope you feel the same way, although we're very careful to be respectful of your privacy.
