Escape to Dreamcatcher Hideaway, a stylish 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom bungalow in the heart of downtown Joshua Tree. Just a half-mile from vibrant shops, restaurants, and cafés, and only 5 miles from Joshua Tree National Park’s west entrance, this modern retreat blends desert serenity with urban convenience.
Unwind in a light-filled home featuring a gourmet kitchen, home theater, hot tub, plunge tubs, outdoor dining, propane grill, fire pit, hammock, and a Level 2 EV charger.
The space
This house is where our family comes to get away from city life and relax. We’ve added all of the conveniences of home to make your stay comfortable.
CLEANING
We maintain exceptional cleaning standards for our property. 100% of your cleaning fee is paid to our cleaners and hot tub maintenance team.
KITCHEN
Upon entering the house from the front door, on your right is a fully equipped kitchen that features a large island with seating for 4-6 and walk-in pantry. In addition to the standard kitchen appliances, you will find a wine fridge, coffee grinder, french press, drip machine, jura espresso machine, high powered blender, toaster oven and rice cooker. Place settings for 8 and plenty of wine glasses, coffee mugs etc. Please check the listing amenities for full details on items we have available.
The cold water line of the kitchen sink is equipped with a bluedot filtration system, which removes over 80 different contaminants that hang out in “acceptable” levels in our tap water and bottled water. No need to bring cases of bottled water to stay hydrated during your stay in the desert!
LIVING AREA
To your left is the living area, with a cozy couch for lounging and watching movies on the home theater. Our home theater is connected to a Roku which is hooked up to Hulu, Disney+, HBO, Netflix, and Amazon Prime accounts for your use. The home theater sound system can also be connected to via bluetooth to stream music during your stay.
In the mornings we love taking in the gorgeous mountain views from the custom wood counter bar while sipping on our morning coffee.
BEDROOMS
The two bedrooms are at the back of the house. The primary bedroom has a king sized bed, en-suite bathroom, walk-in closet, remote work desk/chair setup, wall-mounted swivel TV, and views of the desert scape from the sliding glass door onto the outdoor patio. The window blinds are electric in this room and can be controlled with a remote. The second bedroom has a queen sized bed, closet, lounge chair, wall mounted TV and is located next to the full bathroom in the hallway. Both bedroom TVs are smart TVs which are hooked up to Hulu, Disney+, HBO, Netflix, and Amazon Prime accounts for your use. Each bedroom closet has 2 luggage racks and are kept empty/with hangers so you can stay organized during your stay.
BATHROOM DETAILS
Both bathrooms have body wash, shampoo, conditioner and hand soap & lotion dispensers. We provide high quality soft Turkish cotton towels and black make up removal towels. Each bathroom also has a hair dryer.
OUTDOOR SPACE
In July 2023 we fully fenced the yard to make the property more kid and dog friendly, as well as secure. We used a barn-style mesh wire for the side that is open in the listing photos to preserve the desert and mountain view.
Off the side of the house is a concrete patio where there is a 6-person outdoor dining table under a pergola shade structure.
Two plunge tubs (cold water only) provide a nice way to cool off during the hot summer days. Recommended to use May-September.
In the backyard there a 7-person hot tub which is professionally cleaned between each guest. We keep it heated and ready for use 24/7. No jumping, diving, running or rough play near the hot tub. No glass can be around the hot tub. No intoxicated persons may use the hot tub. No lifeguard on duty - use at your own risk.
Also located in the back yard is a propane gas fire pit, large L shaped outdoor couch (recently added, no photos) and 2 lounge chairs.
In the front yard there is a 2-person hammock to take in the beautiful mountain views.
We have a propane grill on wheels that’s kept inside of the garage.
YOGA
Two yoga mats are available for dropping into your practice during your stay. If you would like a private yoga session or meditation during your stay, please message us at the time of booking.
NO SMOKING
Thank you for respecting our space and not smoking cigarettes, cigars or vapes inside of the the house or anywhere on the gated property. Please familiarize yourself with our House Rules before arriving.

PETS
We welcome up to 2 pets with a $35 pet fee added at check out. The house has pet water & food bowls, poo bags (please clean up after your pet outside), and pet wipes to keep clean them up after running around outside. Pets are not allowed on the furniture. If it’s determined that pets have been on the furniture (excessive fur, stains &/or slobber) you will be charged to have the impacted furniture professionally deep cleaned.
Guest access
Guests have access to the entire property, including the the garage. There is room for 1 car to park inside the garage. We have a Level 2 EV charger (cord included) in the garage available for guests. We DO NOT impose any charging restrictions by time of day. 🙌🏻
You will have access to a full size washer & dryer located in the hall closet.
We keep the other hallway closet locked, this is where we keep extra linens and supplies for the house. Please do not attempt to open it without permission.
