Kim wasn't there, but Richard, his mother and stepfather took very good care of me. It is a delightful house, and provided a great adventure for me for the weekend. The island is about a ten minute boat ride from City Harbor, and Richard was always on time, doing whatever he could to make my stay perfect. Definately take them up on dinner. They explored with me what I would like, and we had fresh seafood he had caught that day.

What a great time! Kim and Rich are fantastic! Genuinely kind and concerned hosts, cool location, and a superb value for your travel dollars! Can't get a better experience in Ketchikan, and I should know, I'm here 3 or 4 times a year. Room was newly remodeled and I slept like a rock in a very comfortable bed. I recommend taking them up on any meal they offer to include you in, food is off the chain! For an appropriate additional donation, a fishing trip for fresh Alaskan seafood can be had as well. I will be returning to their home as soon as I can, I feel like family already. Thanx to Kim and Rich for such a pleasurable adventure!

Hello there. I am Kim and I have called Alaska home since 1990. I first took a ferry trip through the Inside Passage and the next year came back and kayaked from Juneau to Ketchikan, a journey of three months and the start of a long love affair with the country.
Today I enjoy sharing the town and country I call home. I challenge myself with gardening in a rain forest that sheds 13 feet of rain a year. If that was not enough you need to contend with the wonderful population of deer.
I enjoy yoga, wood working and renovating homes. In the summer I work as a guide to see the bears feeding on the salmon in remote locations.
It is always a joy to meet people from around the world and see the world I love through new eyes.
