The space
Inside you’ll find every cozy comfort. With a contemporary farmhouse feel, the space includes a small library and entryway, a living area and kitchenette, a luxurious bathroom, and a back bedroom with French doors facing the rolling meadows of the horse farm next door. The mid-century modern furniture includes a vintage hide-abed sofa, a full-size captain’s bed, a 4-seater tulip table, a writing desk, and reading nooks stocked with games, puzzles, books, and DVDs chosen with care. Go glamping out back in a secluded area with a private fire pit and adirondack chairs. This serene, special place is perfect for nature-lovers, artists, honeymooners, friends and small families—anyone looking for a quiet retreat! (No bachelor or bachelorette parties please.)

Ashland City is a small town with a population of 6,500, about thirty minutes Northwest of Nashville on hilly ridges. It has a town square, post office, Food Lion (3 miles away) and Walmart Supercenter (8 miles away), all within about five to fifteen minutes from the house—you should be able to find anything you need here! There are plenty of fast food options and a few charming local restaurants.

After almost twenty years living in Manhattan, my husband and I were looking for a change of pace and lifestyle and two years ago we moved to Ashland City, TN, thirty minutes from Nashville. I am an adventurous traveler, and also an airbnb host—my husband and I have converted a working covered bridge to a guest house on our property, called Bridge House over Blue Spring Creek, and we hope to give others a wonderful experience and an adventure in nature. Niklas is a lighting designer and a jack of all trades, and I'm a graphic designer and writer; and we love all kinds of DIY projects. We enjoy traveling near and far, and having been an airbnb host for many years back in NYC, we appreciate the charm of staying in other peoples homes and rentals, and we always treat the properties with respect and ask the same of our guests.
