The Villetta Immersa Nel Verde this is our story!
Being in real need for a short holiday break, my family (me, my wife and our 3-year son and newborn) decided to go to Italy, the beautiful region Puglia in Italy. This area is famous for its beautiful nature (Unesco protected), architecture, coast lines, crystal clear waters and good food.
Since traveling with small kids we have high standards for the accommodation.
•A spacious house with multiple rooms
•Child friendly (house, garden, babybed)
•A quite place, but close to a village or town
•Facilities for long stay (washing machine, etc)
The amount of houses presented on the airbnb website in Puglia is overwhelming, but most of them not even close to our requirements. Until we found Villetta Immersa Nel Verde. We decided to get into contact with Ciro, the owner. Ciro was easy to communicate with, and responded quickly to questions. We met Ciro and his son in Piazza Pedro Pio, a small park, nearby the villa, in Grottaglie. He was perfectly in time, and showed us the way to the villa.
The villetta is, just outside the town, at a quite road in the coutry. The house has a large green garden (1500sqrm) with palm- olive trees and there is ample space for multiple cars on the driveway. The property is surrounded by stonewalls and fences, and can be entirely closed and locked with a sliding gate.
For kids there are a swing, a slide, plenty of space to play around, a kiddy bike and a pool. We were welcomed by Ciro’s wife and daughter. They proudly showed their house. We felt at home immediately, and it put a very big smile on my face. The house has heaters and air-condition, and it was very pleasant on this cold and wet day to enter the preheated house. This was definitely the place I was so desperately looking for! After the warm welcome and explanation of the house, we were invited to Ciro’s home to have a meal with his family. They prepared some good traditional spaghetti, had wine and good italian cheeses. We shared pictures of our families and good stories. We had a great day with Ciro’s family. After this, Ciro’s guided us back to the Villetta again, but first with a small tour in the neighborhood to show all the necessary stores (supermarket, pharmacy, etc). They brought a toddler bed also, and everything was completely arranged. During our stay, Ciro kept in contact to see if everything is allright.
The villetta immersa nel verde is a beautiful place to stay, the owners are very warm and kind people, and a stay here will most certainly be the best you have ever experienced. Grottaglie will enjoy you for restaurants, people and of course the ceramics. In the area, you will find beautiful places where you can dive into ancient archeology and architecture. The coastal lines are beautifull with its clear waters too.
