Calanda is a recently restored country house with warmth and creativity, suitable for relaxing stays, in contact with nature. Great for families of 4 people and enthusiasts of mountain, lake and river.

The space

"Calanda" was called this old, recently restored little cottage, a unique place for loving simple tastes and emotions.
The bedroom can be reached from the outside, has 4 beds on the typical mountain bed, in two-storey wood.

My guests will have access to Calanda, with living room and separate bedroom both from my home, which is opposite.
The view is superb on the lake and the mountain ring.
The house is not rentable for long periods

Guest access

Access is independent.

Interaction with guests

My home is separate but in the immediate vicinity, so if needed I am available.

Other things to note

On Lake Mezzola there is the possibility of renting canoes and there is a very beautiful cycling track that runs along it. In the area there are many climbing gyms and beautiful hiking trails leading to Switzerland and Val Tellina. From Novate starts the path leading to Val Codera where one of the last inhabited villages not reached by the road resists. For "tired" there is a helicopter service that reaches the Valleys. From Verceia, which is the neighboring country, has access to Tracciolino which has recently been transformed into a mountain bike track.

Unfortunately because of a family situation we did not end up staying in Elenora's house. However, we did travel through the village when we were in the area, and it was very nice- the scenery was amazing- a perfect place for a holiday! Elenora was really very kind and understanding about our situation- even though we kept her hanging on a bit about our lack of arrival. She always answered messages promptly and in a helpful manner. We would be very pleased to give this house a try on our next trip to the area.

A lovely Rustico but a little far away from shops, restaurants, and attractions.

Very cozy and clean, great view to the south, beautiful surrounding and charming atmosphere. Highly recommendable for people who love hiking or stay in a typical italian antique bnb for some days

A well equiped comfortable cosy cottage. Ideally situated for walking/hiking but aslo cicling around the lake. Fabulous view of the snow capped mountains around the lake. Lovely little stream directly infront of the cottage, perfect for small children to play and for adults to relax with the sound of the water.

We stayed only a night in transit to Turin. We love renovated rustic places so this was perfect. There are two levels in an old stone farm building. Downstairs is an open area with fireplace, kitchen and dining table with a small new bathroom built under the stairs. You have to go outside and around the side to enter the bedroom which was a little interesting in January, lucky it was not snowing and relatively warm (around -2C at night). But the big surprise was the double bunk bed, the first time we have seen this. That's right, two up and two down in a double- decker, double bed, it was fun for four of us! Facilities are quite basic, kind of like glamping (glamorous camping). Lots of info on local walks, cycling and the view is to die for with sheer cliffs and snow-covered peaks all around and the lake down below as it is on a rise right at the back of town. Stunning place!
