Alice's house is nice, and she is nice. I love her dog. The breakfast is fantastic. However, it's not a pleasant stay. If you are able to afford the room, don't consider to stay on the board outside. And if you are arriving after 10pm, it's not possible to use the restroom in house(Or you need to trouble others). We chose to stay on the platform under the big oak, but there are a lot of ants. So, if you are coming without a tent and afraid of incests, it's uncomfortable. Sleeping bags are not recommended. We paid for 2 person for two night, but finally four. I promised to give her 80 dollars when we arrived. We didn't stay at her place the second day, but she didn't give us any reply about my request for refund. I should have 100 dollars for refund, but I only ask for 80 dollars in cash. She gave me no reply. She should give me a reply if she is not willing to give the refund, not disappear.

Response from Alice:
Oh dear. A group of very young, very inexperienced Chinese students decided they wanted to camp here on my tent platform, on their way to and from Yosemite. I did warn them that Yosemite is pretty far away from here but they decided to come here anyway. They had no camping gear, and had to look for sleeping bags on the way, and did not get sleeping pads. They did not look at maps, or apparently at directions on airbnb, and ended up arriving at 11:30 pm. They had ants because they left food out. No, refunds are not given for no-shows, standard b&b practice and airbnb policy. There's only so much I can protect people from themselves. I'm sure they learned some things about traveling.

Alice's place is great. It was so fun to stay on her platform instead of a crowded campground and her homemade breakfast was amazing! It's not every day you get fresh scones baked in front of you! Alice was very accommodating of our schedule and indulged us in our questions about Fiddletown history. Very cool experience!

Used the platform for tents. It was flat but the nails are coming up so that was a bit uncomfortable. There is a bit of poison oak all around the deck so be careful. Breakfast was great and Alice was a good host. Only animals at this property were chickens but next door there are some pretty amazing Scotish Highland Cattle. Huge horns on these short but fat cattle. We had use of the upstairs bathroom which was great for my daughter. Fiddletown is very small but the 1850's buildings are quite interesting. Bring a hammer.

Alice was wonderful! The house was super cute and she has a great eye for worldly, eccentric style. Everything was fantastic!

This was the best air bnb we stayed at during the whole trip! Alice was so kind with us and so accommodating. We were four and slept outside on the platform in our tents. The location was tranquil and so peaceful to sleep in - this was just a one night stop for us on the way to Yosemite. In the morning Alice made us one of the best organic breakfasts I've ever had! Everything was 100% beautiful and perfect. Thank you Alice for giving us this adventure in your farm!

The place was really quiet and relaxing. Which is exactly what we were looking for. Sally (the dog) joined us for an afternoon nap. Wasn't much to do if you weren't wine tasting, but we weren't really looking for a place with a lot to do. We enjoyed our stay.

I grew up on this land. My parents had a milk cow, chickens, an orchard and a big vegetable garden when I was growing up, so I learned a lot of farm skills. Started the market garden (small farm) in 1993, the bed and breakfast/farm stay in 1998.
