Valerie is a wonderful host! Her home is full of personality, fun and all the information you require for a great time exploring the local area and beyond. Communication is excellent; the room is exceptionally clean and breakfast is great! Her family are lovely; including the beautiful dog, Skye! Highly recommend!

Valerie was a great host! Even though she couldn't welcome us herself, she organized the key handover in their family pub. Valerie gave us many recommendations for what to see in the area, the room was super clean and the bed really comfy and we loved the brown bread for breakfast! Their dog Skye is also very cute. Definitely coming back here when we are in the area.

Such friendly people..a lovely homely place with oodles of character and charm. Loved the dog, Skye. Breakfast with the family in the background in their kitchen/ diner was very pleasant. This Airbnb is good value, and very well placed for a stay near Galway. The advice about evening meal at Pier head restaurant was spot on...just a shame about the weather!

tldr; Stay here! Stay here!! OMG why haven't you booked a room already? Valerie has terrific reviews --they don't even live up to the reality of who she is, who her family are, and how amazing it is here. Let me explain: We've stayed in a dozen (more) AirBnB's across a variety of continents. We have never adored a host and her family --AND the room-- so much in our lives. The room and bed were perfect; cozy, clean, and comfortable with its own bathroom. But, as we said, the hosts... the hosts are why you want to stay here. We came straggling in tired and hungry. They gave excellent directions to a place to eat which was nearby and super affordable (Fox's). The next morning's breakfast was top notch (including the coffee --and we're from the quasi-coffee capital of the world, so we know coffee). They were celebrating their 25th anniversary and still made time to welcome us, and to make us feel like we were at home and not a bother to host. The room was perfectly made up for the weary. The shower was hot. The dog, daughter, and hubby were just the perfect icing to a ridiculously enjoyable visit. We have decided that we must go back because we didn't get a chance to hear the donkey's braying! Well, that and because this town, and its people, are everything any vacation has ever needed.

Valerie and her family are truly some of the most welcoming and genuine people I've ever met, and their home is a welcome oasis is a beautiful, quirky and memorable little town. Not for one moment will you feel like an outsider or a tourist. Their home, their hearts and their country are yours. By far the BEST Airbnb I've ever stayed with.

Wonderful, her daughter welcomed us because Valery was away for a little bit but arrived 10 minutes after us to make sure everything was ok. The room was great and she even let 2 cupcakes for us and all we needed for a hot drink. We had the time to talk during the breakfast (really nice as well) and it was a really pleasure to discuss with her. I'm sure i will go back there if i have a chance.
