3 of my colleagues and I stayed at Marie-Madeline's home for a conference at the Quebec City Convention Center, and we were absolutely comfortable and well placed to get to work by 8:00 AM as well as to enjoy the neighbourhood! Nearby are some excellent coffee shops and bistros (Le Hobbit in particular; we must have eaten there at least 5 times). The home was spacious and cozy at once, a perfect place to chat on the backyard patio or people-watch from the living room. I highly recommend that you stay with Marie-Madeline in the future, you will not be disappointed!

Great location. Three good sized bedrooms. Nice little yard steps from a main street for restaurants and shops. A short walk to the town center. A very good spot to explore the city.

Marie-Madeleine was very welcoming and the lovely drawings her daughters made to welcome us made my family and I feel right at home. The location is perfect- walking distance to everything. There are plenty of great restaurants surrounding the apartment. We very much felt at home here and if we return to Québec City we will try to stay here again!

What an amazing Airbnb experience, great host and lovely home! Marie-Madeleine’s home was clean, cozy and in the perfect location for a four day Quebec City adventure. We were pleasantly surprised that compared to our tiny, noisy NYC apartments, her home was tranquil, and spacious - just what we were looking for. We were greeted by a beautiful bouquet of flowers on the dining room table, and were encouraged to play instruments scattered within the living space. Wander down the busy Rue Saint-Jean and you find yourself in the heart of Old Quebec City with so much to see and do. With Marie-Madeleine’s suggestion, we discovered Cantook Micro Torrefaction (a quaint coffeehouse and an absolute must-try!) and a number of restaurants and bakeries within walking distance. I would highly recommend this spot, we will definitely stay here again if we return to Quebec City!

Very good location right next to Rue St Jean, which has many shops, restaurants and has a great feel. A lovely place to walk around. There's a really nice little kids' playground very close. It's safe and quiet at night; it's an easy walk to the walled historic area of Quebec city. Private parking space right next to the house. Our kids loved the bunk beds. It's an older building with a tight winding staircase. Aged 5 and 7 it was fine for our kids. I wouldn't call it a high end place (don't expect marble counter tops and brand new appliances), but it has a really nice homely feel that made us and our kids feel really comfortable staying there. There were many musical instruments that the hosts welcomed us to try! There is no AC, and although fans were provided, when the weather is hot, the house does get pretty hot and stays so at night. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay; it's a great place and location from which to explore Quebec city.

The listing was accurate, but we did find the bed sizes a little small for our family. This was expected in the children's bedroom, but not the others. We only found out when we got there that free wifi / internet service was included. We were very happy since we have three teenagers, but it would have been better to know in advance. We like to drink coffee when we wake up in the morning and would have liked to have a regular drip coffee machine available. We did find and make do with an manual espresso maker.

Hi!
I am a musician, singer, yoga teacher and happy mom who loves meeting people, playing, learning and traveling. My partner, my two girls and I enjoy living in the center of the beautiful Québec city for the joy of running on the Plaines d'Abraham, cycling to work and school and walking a few minutes only to have the best natural grocery store in town, best coffee, best chocolate, best bakery and yoga center. We love getting out to do rock climbing, skiing, canoeing or do winter excursions. We feel privileged to live where we live and we love our home! We are in the center of the festivals (Winter Carnaval in February, Festival d'été de Québec in July and more) yet with our parking space, we are always free to escape the city since Québec in surrounded by nature. We are an open minded family who dream to create a life of freedom and joy! It would be a pleasure to meet you! Marie-Madeleine, Vincent, Samuelle and Gabrielle
