Step a century back in time in my 1920s cabin, minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park and blocks from a great local grocer and the best dining in Estes (Permit 20-NCD0293). My cute 2br sleeps 4 and is fully equipped with a kitchen, living room, sun room, bathroom and more!

+ 600 Mbps Internet
+ cozy wood burning fireplace
+ Awesome location near National Park

Absorb yourself in an authentic mountain experience! Wildlife abound since it's close to Prospect Mountain's open space.

The space
Real quick -- house rules:

- No early check in or late checkouts. Check in is 4pm or later; check out is 10am or earlier.
- No smoking inside or out, no outdoor fire pits, no parties
- Guests must do dishes on checkout (we have negotiated a lower cleaning fee based on this)
- Accurate guest count mandatory; max capacity is 4 humans

Thanks for checking out my cozy 2br mountain cabin, built nearly 100 years ago and lovingly modernized for your comfort I hope you love it as much as I do! Nestled in amongst ponderosa pines, aspen trees, and unique rock outcroppings, my cabin is a super charming mountain getaway.

Original knotty pine interior finishes match up well with a stone wood burning fireplace in the living room. There is lots of comfy seating to relax and enjoy a good book, or watch a show/movie on the flat screen TV. We have super speedy WiFi for streaming or work-cations.

My cabin is about 1000 square feet, including two bedrooms, a living room, a great sun porch with tons of windows, a bathroom with a vintage clawfoot tub, and a kitchen/dining room.

The single-level home is perfectly located between downtown and the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park, so you're super close to all the best attractions of Estes Park. My favorite restaurant, Bird and Jim, is a quick 1 minute drive. So is our local grocer, Country Supermarket.

Past guests have raved about my place!

"... We enjoyed the cabin itself (as described and very clean), the location (so close to the National Park, elk sleeping in the backyard, close enough to anything you might need), and the very good communication from the owner."

"... Great little getaway in the mountains! Easy to find, well-provisioned, clean and cute! Elk grazing across the street every day, and all the birdsong a person could hope for"

"... Great place to stay for a cozy weekend! Close enough to food and other things but nicely tucked away from main roads and traffic noise. Particularly enjoyed seeing the friendly neighborhood elk!"

"... This cabin is terrific with all the charm of historic while completely updated plumbing , heat etc. Even the neighborhood is special with small cabins , wildlife and great views. We definitely hope to return."

The cabin rests in a small valley with the Prospect Mountain open space on one side and Giant Track Mountain on the other. This means there is a ton of wildlife roaming around, and you're nearly guaranteed to see elk, deer and other animals wandering through the yard.

As with all homes in Estes, you will need AWD or 4WD from May to October - remember that Estes Park is about 7,500 feet and we can get a fair amount of snow. That being said, the property and access is relatively flat.

We do have neighbors, so if you are looking for complete seclusion, this isn't your best bet. For that you'll need to search 10 miles or more from Estes Park.

Check in is 4PM and check out is 10AM. Estes Park is a super tiny mountain town and there's not a lot of cleaning staff, so I cannot accommodate early check ins and late check outs.

Our home offers 2 bedrooms, each with a queen bed.

Living Room -There's a smart television with Roku, so you can stream away with your Netflix, Amazon Prime, Sling, Hulu, or other account.

WiFi - Our home employs a speedy 600 Mbps WiFi network with no dead zones.

Kitchen - Our kitchen features a stove and oven, fridge, freezer, pots, pans, plates, glasses, cutting boards, drip coffee maker and other assorted small appliances so you can cook whatever you'd like before and after your adventures in the National Park.

Laundry - We do not have a laundry machine, but a great coin-op facility is a few blocks away.

This home is in a quiet neighborhood on the side of Prospect Mountain, close to Marys Lake Road. Our sun porch has views into the Rocky Mountains and there is a lot of open space nearby so you're very likely to see a lot of wildlife.

Note that there are neighbors and that this is not an isolated cabin. If you are looking for seclusion, you really need to be looking at places about 10 miles away.

A few blocks away along Marys Lake Road is The Country Supermarket, with awesome deli sandwiches that you can buy and take into the park during hikes or ski trips. Near the Country Supermarket is Scratch, which as great warm sandwiches, as well as my favorite restaurant, Bird and Jim.

Other super close restaurants are The Rock Inn and Smoking Daves BBQ.

The cabin is just west of town, which means you won't get stuck in traffic trying to get into the National Park. Fortunately the park entrance is only a few minutes away.

Hi! I am a professional rock climber and also a wedding and family photographer. I generally travel during the winters and climb, fulfilling my obligations to my climbing sponsors, and during the summers I am in Estes Park where I train, climb, and shoot weddings and family sessions. Traveling is a huge part of my life, and I think meeting new people and visiting new places bridges gaps and breaks down barriers, so I am so thrilled to be an AirBnB host! When I'm not traveling, shooting or climbing, I enjoy espresso, yoga, music, and most of all, my little Italian Greyhound named Leo.
