Our best Airbnb experience so far. The studio is exactly as in the pictures; and more. It has a very homey feel and we had a superb time chatting with Rick's parents. Location wise, it is only 5min walk to Woodleigh mrt and 8min mrt ride to Dhoby Ghaut station so its really convenient. Rick was gracious and such a kind person for accepting our booking request at the very last minute. This is The place for guests who appreciate quaint places and enjoy nature. We are definitely coming back here!

WARNING: Host will come into your room on a daily basis and rearrange your belongings (toothbrush, clothes, electronics). We stayed at Rick's Airbnb for 4 nights. Night 1 - Check in After arriving to the Airbnb around 9pm of our checkin date (check-in is at 3pm) we were greeted by Rick sweating in only his underwear who was dumbfounded as to why we did not let him know we were coming by phone first. He led us into his apartment where he told us to wait while he set up the room for about 45 minutes. Once we were finally shown the room it became obvious that this was a single room and not an "Entire home" as advertised on Airbnb. Rick mention's this in his description but despite this the rental is completely mislabeled and should be considered a "Single room" Night 2 - Keys left on our dresser We came home after a long day of sightseeing to a set of car keys that were on our dresser which were not previously there. That night we went to bed feeling uneasy about concerns that Rick had come into our room without telling us. Day 3 - "Floor cleaning" The next morning we woke up to a knocking on the door which was our Airbnb host Rick. He insisted that he needs to come in today in order to clean the floor. After some small chit-chat he asked if either of us had seen a set of car keys. This confirmed our previous suspicion that Rick had indeed entered our room. Before we left we took everything off of the floor to make his job of cleaning easier, and because we were feeling so uneasy we took photos of everything that was in the room so we could tell what had been moved/altered. We left the rental that day, locked our door, and headed out for another day of sight-seeing. Night 3 - Zip ties We returned to our unit to find that our door was wide open exposed to a public staircase whereby anyone off the street could come and walk into our unit. All of our belongings had been moved (we have before/after photos). After only providing Rick consent to clean the floors, we came home to find all of our clothes had been moved into drawers, our toothbrush head had been removed from the electric toothbrush base and laid asunder on the bathroom counter (still can't figure that one out), and all of our electronics wire's had been zip tied and put into individual sandwich bags. Day 4 - Booby traps Upon awaking the next morning we decided we would leave a booby trap to confirm whether Rick would come in again for a 3rd consecutive day despite not having consent to do so. We set a water bottle behind the door as we closed it and left the AC on and took photos of the unit again as we did the day prior. We then...

It is quite quiet, private and safe. The room is a little bit small but the window view is nice. Many trees around, I could open the window and there was no mosquito, that's good. I would stay again definitely.

There really is no reason at all to not recommend Rick's place when you're going to Singapore. He welcomed us (two girls), showed us around in his house and told us to feel at home. And so we did. This place is so clean and adorable. Anytime we needed something, Rick was there to help us out. My luggage got lost during my stopover in Zurich on my way to Singapore and Rick was eager to give me everything he could offer :) All in all Rick's place is like a green haven, if you're tired of walking around in Singapore for one day you will not regret relaxing at Rick's place. Totally recommend it.

Rick was very nice and accommodating upon my late arrival and offered to assist me with anything I needed in Singapore. When I needed to stay an extra night he was happy to help. The room is quite nice with a large TV and many movies. The bed is very comfortable. As mentioned, noise from the kitchen can be easily heard. The area is very nice and peaceful, but I do wish there was at least a convenience store within close walking distance for any little things you might. The café near by was (is?) under construction.
