The location is fantastic--numerous bistros, fruit market and grocery stores, pubs etc. Several big attractions are just a short walk, and the streets are lined with interesting shops along the way. This is a great section of Paris. The apartment is dated and a little tired, but Jonas keeps it clean. Lighting is not great. There is no air conditioning, but a breeze comes through the windows. There is a fair bit of noise from the nearby pubs at night, and garbage collection in the morning, but that's the flip side of a great location. The separate bedroom is isolated from the noise out front, so as long as its not too hot, simply closing the door will diminish the noise. Be aware there is no elevator, and the apartment is about four flights up a very tight spiral staircase. We were ok with our carry-on luggage, but transporting big heavy luggage up those stairs would be a challenge. Jonas was a great host.

Jonas was more than accommodating. He was at the place waiting for us right when we got to Paris around noon. He offered food suggestions and was very kind. The bed and couch are so comfy, and the shower is incredible. Jonas also communicates quickly if you reach out. This location also can't be beat, very central to everything. We always walked or took the metro. We had an incident during our stay that Jonas had to clean up after. He had the right to be very angry, and I am bummed to have missed out on a great potential friendship. Jonas is fantastic.

We loved the apartment and it was as we expected. The location is absolutely perfect and it was a great spot to start from every day. Most things you might want to do within Paris are an easy walk or a short metro ride away. Jonas was a very accommodating and great host. Communication with the host was easy and straightforward. We would definitely stay here again. Be aware that, as described in the listing, there are many stairs on the way up. We are used to this as we live in a 4th floor walk-up, however it is something to keep in mind, and it would be difficult with large or heavy bags. Also, there are a few restaurants at the bottom floor and around the corner, which is great, but can make for some noise at night. It wasn't too loud and we were able to sleep with the windows open, but if you're a light sleeper it might be a small problem for you. Closing the windows will shut out most of this noise, but will mean no breeze. For us, the convenience this provided was well worth the small amount of street noise. As I said, we loved our stay, the flat, and the location, and we would highly recommend it!

Lovely apartment in a really great location! Only downside is the lack of a lift, so you wouldn't want to have heavy suitcases...!
