Pat's beautiful antique home was whimsical, very comfortable and a great value. In a very quiet neighborhood just a stones throw from both Yarmouth and points west. She was there to greet us, even when we arrived a bit late. As a host, she was engaging and made us feel right at home. The bedroom was stunning and the bed comfortable, with terry robes and the small things that made it feel like we had booked into a spa. The shower had great water pressure and the kitchen renovated with all the amenities. Thank you, Pat, we had a great time and will be back on our next trip!

Trish and her husband were great hosts! Super accessible by phone and gave me great recommendations for a place to grab dinner and a beach to relax at afterwards. Really friendly couple, we had a good chat when I arrived. The house is pretty cool, I think it's something like 200 years old but key very tidy and has everything you need. I felt safe and comfortable. Oh! And the breakfast was really yammy too :)

Trish and Shawn were fantastic hosts. My whole stay was very relaxing. The neighborhood is really peaceful and picturesque. Lyle house is a old historic home that is being restored. A labor of love! Trish provided all the comforts of home. Shawn's breakfast was great and cooked to order!

I was traveling by motorcycle, and due to poor planning, was on a pretty tight schedule. I insta-booked Lyle House and Patrica came to the rescue with excellent communication. Upon arrival, I found a nice old farmhouse, on the banks of the Clyde river. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. I felt instantly at home. My room was spacious and clean, with a view of the river. I left very early the next morning, and missed breakfast. I wish I had more time to take advantage of Sean's cooking skills. I heard through the grapevine, he works as a chef on the fishing trawlers. My bad. All in all it was a pleasant stay, and I would definitely go back.

Patricia User ProfilePatricia is a superhost.

My husband and i decided to open our 200 year old historic home to travelers because we ourselves love to travel and meet new people. We have been all over Canada and have made some wonderful friends on the way. Our out of country trips have brought us to Mexico, Costa Rica and Cuba. As you can tell we love escaping from the cold winters of Canada to warmer destinations. We hope to travel to Italy in the next year to visit my sister. My husband is a chef so when we travel we really enjoy emerging ourselves in the culture (especially the food) of the country we are visiting. We like to make curry dishes, sushi, Philippine and I tried hagus and nips for the first time. I liked it. We hope to offer our guests a very homey atmosphere, where our guest can relax and enjoy the quiet beauty of the southwest shore of Nova Scotia. Daily beach trips to swim in the ocean or read a book while listening to the waves is among my favorite things about living here. I never get tired of sitting with my tea watching the sun rise over the Clyde River. We are so thankful we found this paradise and want to share it with others.
