Our comfortable three bed rooms with attached bathrooms house has true village feeling! We're surrounded by sinharaja rain forest of mountains. The gin river which is flowing behind and the paddy fields in front of the house give you a cool natural feeling. You can enjoy delicious sinhala meals.

Convenient for Sinharaja visits and lots of buses to Ella and Galle.

Lovely hard working extended family provided good accommodation, great meals, and set up our trip to Sinharaja rain forest. Great value, lovely rural area with nice walks and birdlife, yet within easy walking distance to Deniyaya centre. Could not have been better.

Gimhan and his family were the best hosts you can stay with in this country. I would totally recommend coming here. Close to surf spots and other nice little sights. The food was really good and the whole family is very welcoming and friendly. Will definitely come back to see these guys again!

The host and family were professional, most welcoming and accommodating. The facility was clean. The meals were very good. Their knowledge of nature and history etc. was exceptional. There was a lot to see even in their own garden. Pam and Nissanka

The hosts are very good! Perfect English, easy communication, ready to help with useful tips. Explained everything about possible trecks in Singaraja and orginized a guide. Sanjaya (the guide the recommended) was absolutely fabulous! He's got sooo sharp eyes - sometimes I felt almost blind next to him, failing to see camuflaged animals. I wouldn't have noticed 99% of what he spotted! So the 8hour treck was worth every minute of it. As for the room and the guest hius itself - you shiuld realize it's quite remote from everything. The trip on tuk-tuk to the entrance of rain forest takes a while. There is a nice small waterfall in 2 km, and that's it. I stayed in a room with one bed - it is small very basic room with attached bathroom, clean, good matrass. So it was enough to get sleep and rest after a long treck. I would recommend a place for 1-2 nights stay for visiting Sinharaja.

Deniyaya guest house is a true gem. The host couple are very sweet and honest. The food they served for dinner and breakfast was some of the best I've had in Sri Lanka and the pricing was very reasonable as well. The garden and surroundings are beautiful and very peaceful. They helped us arrange a guided tour through sinharaja rainforest which was very interesting, the guide was great and good value for money. Gihan also went through the trouble figuring out which buses to catch for the following leg of our trip. I highly recommend staying at deniyaya guest house if you are in the area.
