Il Povile is a fascinating mansion eco friendly restored in the roman countryside, immersed in a 42 acres park with a 360° panoramic pool chlorine free overlooking a stunning view on the Tiber valley, a sauna, bbq and dependances

The space

Il Povile is the italian countryhouse of your dreams, between umbrian hills, in a peaceful location just 2 steps away from Rome (by train 50 minutes to arrive in the city centre), Orvieto, Viterbo, Perugia, the lakes of Bolsena and Vico, and even Florence (less than 2 hours by train or car). The villa is completely furnished and decorated with original lights and furniture, each one restored and given to a second life. In the garden there is a panoramic swimming pool with beach, shore and underwater sitting areas, a big barbecue for summer parties, a greenhouse where to see plants growing up, a fresh pinewood to have a rest after swimming. Walking trough the fields passing by the orchards, the vegetable garden, the olives, the apiary, you'll reach the wood where there is a walnut grove close to a natural pond coming from a spring.

The property consists of a main house and if needed 2 dependances: the number of people it can host goes from 2 to a maximum of 22. This makes it ideal for families or a group of friends.

She is also available to organize cooking classes to learn how to cook typical and delicious italian dishes as well as homemade meals with local and organic food.

Daniela's place is an amazing spot to get some rest in a beautiful environment. During our stay we almost had the whole property for ourselves and if needed Daniela was reachable/there to give us some information or guide us through her beautiful garden. The house is lovely and the garden with pool, bbq, pergola is what you wish for on a holiday. If you have a car, the surrounding authentic villages, musea, lakes etc. in the neighbourhood are worth a daytrip! A little paradise on a hill in Lazio!

We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Nor were we prepared for the 360° views of Tuscany. We were lucky enough to have the house to ourselves so we were able to sit outside each night and enjoy the stars and the scenery. The kitchen was perfect. Daniella arranged for two amazing wine tastings. Her friends were lovely. When we return we will take advantage of the cooking lessons Daniella offers. By then, we think her restaurant will be open too! And she makes olive oil. Great place to use if you like visiting small towns.

Daniela's farm was like a dream. From the moment we all arrived we were in heaven. The property is meticulous and Daniela had everything ready and perfect for our arrival. The pictures do not describe the beauty of the property. My children played in poppy fields while we sipped wine on the veranda. We practically cried when we had to leave as it was like a dream. Daniela and her talented daughter showed us how to cook a delicious fettuccine dish and we all ate dinner together while laughing over a few glasses of wine. We will be back and next time for longer! Thank you Daniela.

What a wonderful place to spend two weeks. Daniella is a very kind, welcoming and respectful host. I very much appreciated the quick, helpful communication we shared even from before the booking was made. The property is stunning, with amazing views and the most wonderful (chic) Eco swimming pool. It was great to stay on a working organic vegetable farm and Daniella's eggs, courgettes and honey especially are delicious. There are of course always a worker or two tending the farm though they never seem 'in the way', though if total privacy is what you are after, this is perhaps not for you. The house itself is well equipped and comfortable, not to mention lovely and cool despite the hot July temperatures. All in all a very special place in a beautiful part of Italy. Thank you Daniella!

It's amazing home! I really sorry to spend just one day in it. This house like a history, like fairytale. Gorgeous view. Big garden. Fresh air. Friendly people. No more words, this place is worthy of foretaste. I wonder to come back one days. Thank you for your welcome, Daniela!

After many years working as graphic designer, I decided to follow my passion for nature and echology by restoring a beautiful and antique countryhouse in the middle of the roman countryside. In this peaceful place I can deepen my various interests and things I love: watching plants growing up from the seed I planted, admiring the birth of little animals, dedicating myself to reading. I love dancing, listening to music, cooking new dishes with traditional ingredients; I love travelling with my friends and my daughter, I love sharing the story of this place with my guests, my passion for every plant, tree or stone which live here with me, showing different kind of spotaneous and edible plant you can pick in the fields nearby, so that each one can take part to the harmony of nature.
