Staying with Tracey and Francis was a perfect way to end my trip with them ... even getting to their apartment was an adventure: a tour of the real Nairobi in itself! Clearly it's not a luxurious room nor luxurious accommodation, generally, but I didn't want that and I certainly didn't pay for it. They are the most obliging hosts, who went out of their way to make me welcome and going out to their local Nyama Choma was a real treat. Their insider knowledge of all things Nairobi, their charitable work with a local orphanage and the Kibera slum and their desire to be sustainable are all highly commendable as well. Many thanks.

I am Australian, but I live in Kenya now. My partner is Francis and he's Kenyan .... and it's all his fault that I'm stuck here :) Together we started a tour company that operates tours throughout East Africa (and beyond sometimes). I love travelling and have been a Couch Surfer for many years, both hosting and surfing. Staying with people is the best way to get to know a place and I have had so many great experiences and made incredible friends travelling this way. Now that we have started a business, the travel budget is significantly lower than ever before so we want the world to come to us.
