Great place! Barry was an awesome host. He took us into the parlor and told us the history of the house as well as the other "guests" that live there. Really great and fun place to stay with breakfast included in the morning. All the animals that live in the manor are friendly and adorable.

We had a great time! Didn't get the chance to meet Barry but Cal was more than welcoming, sharing tons of history and suggestions on places to see in the area. Breakfast was a delicious start to our days with the port as a great end. Thanks for everything!

Barry's place is a treasure, and the same can be said for Barry himself. It was a real privilege to stay in such an interesting old house, especially one that comes equipped with such a charming and attentive host. Thoroughly recommended as a place to stay for anyone lucky enough to be visiting that beautiful part of the country.

Barry is a friendly, welcoming and accommodating host. He has some lovely dogs and is happy to share the history of the house and a good story or two. He helped us find somewhere lovely for dinner and plan some destinations for the rest of our trip. Barry's place was lovely and we would be happy to stay again if we find ourselves in the area.

Barry is an extraordinary host, sharing his most historical home. Added to this he is a supreme story teller and kept us enthralled with historical tales as well as good (i.e. not scary) ghost stories. Our rooms were large and comfortable and the breakfast delicious! We felt we were in Downton Abby.

A time machine will not be invented in your lifetime. Despair not, visit Barry's place. Such a charismatic host of a truly interesting place. A great memory for me and my partner.

We had a great time at Barry's place. He was a wonderful host and entertained us with tales of ghosts, folklore and historical stories relating to the house. It was a fun place to stay and we'll be back!
