Right from the start Shawn and Melissa were very responsive to my messages. We arrived late on a Friday evening and they had left us instructions, assorted tea's, and some assorted snacks, which our kids loved. We did have a slight problem finding the address because there were no clearly marked House Numbers. The House is beautiful and in a very quiet neighborhood across from a park. There is plenty of street parking. We brought our American Bulldog with us and she loved the huge back yard. We did some cooking while we were there and the Kitchen is Very well equipped. The house is decorated with classic beauty. My son noticed their vinyl collection and banjo in the living room. The downstairs bathroom was a very pleasant surprise. It would be a long walk but there are several places to eat and drink in very close proximity. On Friday night we visited The White Horse Tavern (Closing Soon) but the waitress said another place will be opening in its place but she was not sure how soon. We also visited Crossroads Coffee & Ice Cream which does Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. They serve food and drinks and sometimes have bands in the evening. Overall is was a great stay. Shawn and Melissa are great hosts.

Shawn and Melissa's place was super cute and cozy (the bed was really comfortable!!). The street is very quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed the easy access to the park! They were very easy to work with and we would definitely return.

Shawn and Melissa were super-responsive. Their house matched their listing well. The house is very cute and located right across the street from Forest Hill Park, great for walking, hiking and mountain biking. We enjoyed sunsets on their front porch and climbing Dry Rocks on the James River just a couple minutes away. They have a great kitchen to cook in. Recommend!

Shawn was very accommodating to our late check in. The house is wonderful and a short drive to several restaurants. We only stayed one night but would recommend for any length of time.

Shawn & Melissa User ProfileShawn & Melissa is a superhost.

Our family (Shawn, Melissa, and James (infant)) live in Richmond, VA. We are pretty easy going and enjoy hosting folks, whether through Airbnb or friends around town. In case you were wondering, our baby James is great sleeper (no guarantees) and an all-around nice guy :) We enjoy cooking and most things food related, being outside and experiencing nature, and love us a good movie. We also love traveling and exploring the USA and abroad.

We love Richmond and Virginia and look forward to sharing its many wonders with you!
