This was my first time using Airbnb and I feel lucky to have had such an exceptionally kind and helpful host. Emi helped me with any question I had about the neighborhood, transportation, food recommendations, etc. The cats are a shy group, but they are very curious about visitors and occasionally perform small tricks for attention ("cat circus")--which was fun. Ota is a nice break from the busier parts of Tokyo, and I'd like to go back and check out the area more in the future. Great experience!

It was definitely a great experience for my Tokyo trip. Location is prefect for me. The area itself is peaceful and clean. The subway system is only one minute away by walking which can connect you to almost everywhere in Tokyo. Within 20 minutes, you can be in any major part of Tokyo. But if you want to visit local places, there are also a lot of nice places waiting to be discovered such as temples, nice restaurants, stylish coffee/tea shop, etc. Room itself is clean and cozy. Building is a bit old and therefore I experienced one of the most authentic local life style in Japan. In the meantime, I still have all the modern conveniences from this place. And even if I was not very good at taking care of myself, the hostess still will make sure I would be taken care of. Hostess えみ is super nice and helpful. She cooked me traditional Japanese breakfast every morning regardless when I woke up. She keeps the house clean everyday. She speak little English but she will still find the best way to assist you for any question you have for her. Her cats are clean, friendly, and shy. They have never bothered me when I was there. えみ even helped me play with them because I am such a cat lover. Overall, I highly recommend this place based on its location, comfortability, hospitality, and convenience. I will definitely stay again next time I visit Tokyo.

Hello!! I’m Emi.
I have lived in Tokyo since I was born.
Although Mr. Nishi-Magome is not a famous place, there are many shrines and parks and it is a place to relax.
Sometimes Mt. Fuji can be seen from the top of the hill.

My hobby is to take pictures and edit cat videos.
And I have special skill about calligraphy and making sweets.

It is very fun to meet people from all over the world with airbnb.

By all means, please enjoy your trip in Tokyo!
