The space

The cabin is set up for an adult single or adult couple. Great views from both the inside and outside. Large picture windows so you can enjoy the waterfront. During spring to fall the north facing views give you ever changing sunrises and sunsets. Great photo opportunities. Cabin is 360 sq ft. Comfy double bed, closet, dresser, equipped kitchen area, electric heat plus woodstove, bathroom with shower and toilet (double sink in kitchen area), outdoor barbeque, deck furniture... . Wish we could accommodate kids but because of the bank and waterfront we have to limit occupancy to adults.

The cabin was even more beautiful than we'd anticipated. The large deck, expansive views across Puget Sound and two rocking chairs set up to enjoy the view were just perfect. Stet and Lynne were wonderful hosts - we really enjoyed chatting to both of them and learning more about their lives. Our only little complaint was the bed is extremely squeaky! We are both heavy sleepers but it could drive light sleepers crazy. Apart from that little niggle, a cosy cabin in the woods. Great value for money.

Response from Stet:
Thank you for letting us know about the bed so we can fix the squeaks. We want everyone to have a good night's sleep.

Stet and Lynne where the perfect hosts. Thety went out of their way during our stay to ensure we were well catered for, had information about the area and had delicious homemade local food. The cabin itself was so cosy and in such a beautiful, peaceful location it was hard to leave, we would have loved to have stayed longer. Thanks again!

Wonderful gem remote enough to feel completely secluded while 15 min from anything you could want or need. The quiet space felt very healing. We had our favorite moments birding on the deck, relaxing and gazing out as the mist rolled off the water. Stet and Lynne were open, kind, very generous with lots of food and extras provided to make us feel welcomed and at home. Highly recommend for easy going nature-lovin' folk. We would definitely return.

The cabin was cute and cozy, a perfect place to relax. The view onto the water is beautiful and the grounds around the cabin are lovely too. The hosts were nice enough to stock breakfast items like locally made bread and granola (both were delicious!) and had plenty of suggestions to make the most of our stay. Had a great time here, would happily return!

Thank you Christie for your visit and being so understanding and helpful when we had to travel out of state and do "remote hosting". Stet and Lynne

The space was as advertised: cozy, but not cramped. It's easy to get to and not far from the 101 and just 15 minutes from downtown Olympia. The shower was hot, and they had fresh ground coffee, eggs, granola, and other breakfast essentials. The nearby scenery adds an additional layer of charm to an already nice little cabin. Would recommend Stet's place to anyone needing to stay in the area.

Wonderful view! We came to relax and relax we did. Worth noting that there is a toaster oven only but it worked great for us. We baked quiche and cookies and more in it without issue. It's a beautiful property and we hope to come back,

Lynne and I feel fortunate to live in this part of the world and enjoy sharing the experience with others....We enjoyed the experience of living in Japan and I've been fortunate to live or work in Europe and the Western Pacific. However, after 24 years living here we still find ourselves standing still, staring out into the forest or out on Puget Sound never tiring of the experience. We stay busy Lynne is a hand bell choir director (I also play) and she drives horses (carriage types). She is also a great knitter, a harp player and takes part in many other activities. I enjoy helping with those activities plus am active in a non profit that works to help our state parks. We both work daily on keeping up our four acres and improving it with more plants, etc. On winter days we might hunker down with a book but when spring arrives we come out of hibernation and enjoy every minute of sun (even if it is filtered through clouds). We hope you will come and enjoy the area. Many people never leave our spot in the woods but we have plenty of information to help you plan your travels here in Washington. AirBnB has brought so many interesting people here...we look forward to your visit.
