The good and the bad: first the good..
The apartment has a beautiful view to the sea, prices in this area are very affordable, the wifi worked very good, excellent building security.
Now the bad:
The mattresses are of the cheapest materials known to man...I think it would be more comfortable sleeping on a cardboard box on the floor.
The air conditioner in the bedroom drips on your head; the one in the living room sounds like a jet taking off
There is no hot water, not the end of the world but if I wanted to camp I would have went to Tayrona Park.
The Tv has no channels, including no over the air channels.
The refrigerator is the cousin of the air conditioner, it too sounds like a jet engine..
The entrance to the building must have been designed by an arquitect in kindergarten, you enter through the garage to the elevator that stops on every other floor..yes you heard correctly, but you can ascend or descend to your floor through the open stairwell that has no firedoors...god forbid if there is a fire in this building.
The beaches in town are very disappointing. The quantity of beach venders make it impossible to find peace on the beach. Also the quantity of plastic on the beach and in the water make for a very sad environment. This area has a security problems as well...you will need to exit the beach immediately after sunset, at first I didn't understand why but after spending a week in Rodadero I understand... Its the typical scenario of have's and have'nots. Its sad to see such a income gap. For a good vacation come to this Carribean coast, but stay in one of the accomodations outside of Tayrona Park. ..also make sure to visit Don Diego river...both areas are very beautiful and make an excellent vacation.
