There is no functioning bathroom/shower in this house, in the modern sense. The ancient shower works with mixed water for about 3 minutes and then it runs cold. The small single room is only suitable for storage and not for sleeping. It has a very loud water heater which roars every time anyone turns on a hot tap in any part of the house. The owner of this BnB has taken recycling to a whole new level. There is no access to the kitchen and you cannot make yourself a drink or reheat any food so you must eat and drink out, at all times. K was conspicuous by his/her absence at all times during my visit. Lots of car and barking dog noises from outside, its on a main road. Great access to busses and local shops.

I cannot thank K and her husband enough for her great hospitality and friendliness. She did everything she could do to host me for a few extra days with only a last minute notice. The place was very close to both UCD and city center, there are also plenty of shops and restaurants around the area.

Excellent location and right beside the bus stop which will take you to the main areas of Dublin. Plenty of nice places to eat within walking distance as well as a Tesco across the road. Although I did not get to meet K, the email responses which I received were excellent, informative and friendly. When I mixed up my check-out time (entirely my fault), K was very understanding and kind in allowing for me to pick up my luggage. Ideal location if you happen to need somewhere to stay when visiting UCD.

K has a friendly welcoming home. The single room was clean, and comfy enough that I sleep well. I enjoying spending one evening getting to know her boys, who are both very charming. The location was close enough I could walk into city center south side, would recommend taking a bus if you went any further north. If you want a nice family stay close to town, then this is the right place.
