A truly charming barn, we really enjoyed our stay here. It's an ideal location from which to explore the Highlands, as well as a perfect wee base to unwind and relax. The host was extremely welcoming and inside, the attention to detail is much appreciated. A great hideaway, thank you!

Lovely barn in a beautiful setting, close to many attractions but car a necessity. Everything we could have needed for a week in the highlands including some lovely weather!

Nice cottage not far from dornoch. The surrounding is quiet, but not 'spectacular'. We loved the cosy cottage with the sheeps in the garden, the only this lacking was the telephone service, as we couldnt use our phones outthere.

The door was open and the heating on, upon arrival. When you look for tranquility, this is the place to be. Well-equipped, very cosy cottage.

The cosy stone barn is exactly as it looks in the pictures. It is welcoming, clean, cosy, and a good place to stay if you are visiting Dornoch and the surrounding areas in the highlands. I would stay there again if I am lucky enough to visit that area again in the future.

We had a lovely time staying in the cosy stone barn. The location is idyllic as the surroundings are so peaceful and calming. The barn itself is larger than it appears in the pictures so we were pleasantly surprised with the space. We went for a few walks nearby and said hello to the Highlands Cows and the Roe Deer. We saw a buzzard on several occasions circling above the barn and were lucky enough to see other birds of prey as we drove around Scotland. The barn is a really good base from which to explore Sutherland with the nearby town of Dornoch only a short drive away, which is very pretty and worth a visit. We were provided with lots of information in a pack when we arrived which we found really useful and used quite a lot especially when trying to source local products for our dinners and for gifts to take home.
