I'd been staying here with my wife. The bathroom was clean and we could use kitchen and fridge so it was very convenient. You can also use laundry machine. For the room, as some of reviewers already pointed out, it is quite bright in the daytime. But if you don't need to stay at the flat during daytime, it is not a big problem. Police siren or ambulance siren is much more disturbing. If you have acute ear, you might get stressed from it. There are a few supermarkets near the flat like Coop, Sainsbury etc. Transportation was not so bad. If you walk 10 minutes you can take District line at Stepney Green or 3 minutes to Central line at Bethnal Green. Most of all, Maddy is very kind e.g. she shared scones she made and easy to communicate as others said. I recommend you to stay here. I definitely want to stay here again if I visit London.

Maddy's place was fairly modern and situated very close to a Tube Station off the Central Line (20-30 minute ride to most places you want to be). She was responsive to a majority of the messages and was very pleasant in her communication. The room has all the basic necessities with a great view of the city from the 9th floor. The apartment building sits on a heavily trafficked area of the neighborhood, including being less than a block away form an active fire station. Unfortunately, you could not escape the loud city sounds despite the windows shut. Additionally, the make-shift curtains only covered a 1/4 of the windows therefore it was a bright and hot room. Since the bathroom was shared between other guests, it can only be so "clean". Lastly, the room needed a serious dusting. With all that said, the location and price was worth it. Just be ready to bring your ear plugs and eye shades.

I stayed here with my husband and our ten week old baby and it was absolutely great. First of all, Maddy is very kind and easy to communicate with, she even kept in touch during our stay to make sure that everything was ok. Secondly, the room is cozier than on the pictures. Third, the location is excellent: close to subway and there are even two places i would like to recommend in the area: Café 338 for breakfast and The Sun Tavern for your pub experience. Highly recommend this airbnb :)

The view from Maddy's flat may be the best in London. Where else can you watch rain storms pass through the skyline from your bedroom? After making my reservation, she immediately set up a time for her cousin to let me in since she was out of town. The first thing you notice when you walk through the door is how clean and quiet the place is. I found the mattress to be very comfortable and the shower in the bathroom was excellent -- again, spotless. During my stay Maddy checked in a couple times to make sure everything was going well. The flat is located only a few minutes from the Central Line's Bethnal Green stop, which is only 10 - 15 minutes from downtown London. Bethnal Green and nearby Hackney are both extremely diverse neighborhoods that also have some of the best food and nightlife in the city. So if you go, stay with Maddy in her wonderful flat!

We were on a quick trip for just a few nights, but were really lucky to have found this flat! It's a 5 min walk to an underground station (Central line) and buses which is very convenient for exploring all parts of London :) On the ground floor there's a small supermarket and several bigger supermarkets are close by; in the vicinity there's also the canal and a park - nice for a little walk. But the flat itself is really nice! It's on the 9th floor without any higher buildings around, so you get an awesome view of London! The room itself also has windows on the whole outside wall and is therefore super light. Style-wise it is really clean and minimal with a modern shower and bathroom. Too bad Maddy wasn't there at that time, as she had other business to attend to. But we were greeted really lovely by her cousin Ezio! When we're in a new city, we tend to be outside of the flat the whole day (going out early, returning late -- which was not a problem, because we got our own keys and everything) so unfortunately we didn't really socialise much with Ezio - but he seemed really nice and helpful! Hopefully we get to come again soon! :)
