A great place for peace and quiet. The boat is fabulous for exploring the wild surroundings of Loch Sunart and for getting up close to seals and other wildlife. House sleeps 8 and is very clean and cosy.

Staying at Carna was a lovely experience. We all enjoyed our stay a lot, with highlights being climbing the top of the mountain, hiking around the coast, seeing seals peeking out of the water and sitting around the fire at night. The house had everything we needed and more to make us feel at home and the communication with Barnaby and Andy was great. Would definitely visit again, next time hopefully for a longer stay.

Response from Carna:
Hi Thalia, lovely to meet such an interesting group, hopefully next time I could show you some more of the wildlife. Also hopefully the weather will be better suited to you being able to use the boat, and find the Otters. Regards Andy

Carna Conservation Initiative is a new not for profit social enterprise formed to ecologically restore the Isle of Carna whilst providing educational and community benefit and supporting the local economy. The island has been owned by the Milward Towers Families since 1881. Andy Jackson and his wife Allison will be looking after you when you come and stay on Carna and are very relaxed and friendly often making great friends with repeat visitors over the years but also know when to leave you to enjoy the island by yourself. They are passionate about conserving and enhancing nature on the island and the surrounding area and will be excited to introduce you to this special part of the world and teach you what they know about responsible wildlife watching and conservation. They run their own local business, Ardnamurchan Marine Centre, doing whale, otter, seal, shark and bird watching boat trips in the area from their base at Laga bay.
