Maximum: 4 Guests

ATTN: IF YOUR DESIRED DATES APPEAR UNAVAILABLE, WE HAVE 6 OTHER ROOMS AVAILABLE FOR BOOKING!

The space

Hefziba Bed & Breakfast is located just on the outskirts of the town of Moyogalpa; a fifteen minute walk or a three minute mototaxi ride from the port.

Hefziba currently has seven rooms available for booking. This listing is for ROOM 2. The family room has TWO double beds (can be shared) and a sofa bed. It is equipped with AC and also has a private bathroom. NOTE: We do NOT have hot water showers. This is common in Nicaragua. Sorry =(!. Also, WiFi is available in the living room area but it is not a very strong connection so please keep in mind if you plan to work while you're here!

The room can accommodate 4 guests. All rooms include breakfast for 4 (additional breakfasts require a small additional fee paid at B&B). All rooms have two double beds meant for sharing so please inquire for bookings where sharing beds is not desired and we will do our very best to accommodate all your needs.

Message from "host": Although I spend a lot of time on Ometepe, this is not my permanent home. It belongs to my grandmother who you might get to meet if shes not in the capital city of Managua! My cousin Memo lives here permanently however, so he will always be available to you on site along with the help of our translator friend, Lester =). My family on the island does NOT speak English which is where I do my best to help them with reservations and communicating with guests before hand to assure a smooth reservation and stay. This is truly a family effort and we do hope you appreciate all the effort that goes to making you feel at home! I may be present during some stays, but not for all. I will however, be fully available to you for the booking process and in helping you make your stay as comfortable as possible :) Please feel free to ask me any questions regarding your stay or island trips that you may want to make! (eg. volcano hikes, zip lining, la Punta etc). Lastly, we ask that you please respect our property (rooms, appliances, bicycles and motorbikes that are available for rent). We do reserve the right to charge any damages to cover for repairs! We will be fair with you so please be fair to us! =). Thank you!
-Cynthia

It was a good surprise finding this place. Confortable beds, A/C, nice big breakfast included, really nice and helpful staff. Location is good when you have transportation (scooter, bike, car) since it's at the outskirts of town. Good quality/price relationship.

Staying at Hefziba was pefect! The space and staff were everything we hoped for, plus more. Rooms were spacious, clean, and cool, breakfast options were generous and delicious, and transportation rentals were an added bonus. I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else on the island :)

Cynthia was not present (as she mentioned may be the case in her description), so there was a little confusion with our reservation and we had the wrong room at first. The staff on site was very helpful in sorting the confusion out and set everything right quickly so it was really no problem at all. The daily breakfast was beautiful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the premises were pretty and well maintained. The staff gave good advice regarding activities on the island and were patient with our broken Spanish. One gentleman had excellent English, a nice backup plan for us. The location is a few blocks away from the hustle and bustle of the main blocks of Moyogalpa. We liked the quieter atmosphere. We also appreciated the gated surroundings and having a good safe place for the giant Toyota Helix we were driving around within those gates. The streets are poorly lit or not at all so at night you do have to walk in the dark a few blocks to get to restaurants or tiendas, which heightened our awareness but we didn't experience anything threatening or dangerous. We highly recommend staying at Hefziba.
