Beautiful scenery and perfect location to get away to nature. Cabins have everything you'll need for a relaxing stay and there's a real sense of history to be enjoyed. Thanks Haakon!

We had an excellent stay over Easter. Haakon's family members met us and gave us advice on the local environs. We were there for the quintessential Norwegian activity at Easter: Nordic skiing. The snow was a bit thin to ski comfortably from the door, but there are tracks connecting to the local network. A short drive to Sjusjøen and we were in a skiing mecca. The main house is extremely well equipped, with multiple coffee machines and wine glass variants. It is also very tastefully appointed. The other building in which you can sleep has no water, but has significant historical value and is also very nicely decorated. We didn't really explore the other buildings but the whole property is very idyllic. My only gripe is that two of the door frames were low for people over 180cm, but that's part of the deal with a historic building. Many thanks for the stay!

Thanks for staying at our place, Benjamin! A pleasure having you. I guess the door frames is something we have to live with. It's to keep bad spirits and scary animals out from old sayings. And it helped, didn't it? You are not the first though, bumping your head a bit...

I stayed together with three friends for four days in one of the cabins, and went for long hikes in the forest. Marked hiking paths are accessible directly from the cabin and lead into the beautiful nature. Haakon was the perfect host, he even made sure we got to the cabin, gave us many good tips, and made sure we would have something to eat. The cabins are absolutely wonderful, with the charm of a classic Norwegian wooden house, but refurbished to perfection, and tastefully decorated with a mix of vintage gems and modern necessities. The view of the valley from the windows and veranda is like a postcard, and in the evening, a pair of foxes from the surrounding forest come out to play in the garden. We can highly recommend it.
