After the mini-adventure that was finding Kitengela Glass, it felt like we had entered a fantastical world where art and animals lived in harmony with us humans being merely the curators. I thoroughly enjoyed my relaxing weekend.

I loved staying at Nani's Glass House! What a whimsical, inspiring, and creative place to write. The staff were hospitable, helpful, and willing to go out of their way to ensure I was well fed and taken care of. I was able to learn about the whole creation, design, and process of glass-making and cutting. It was such a joy to learn about their work—they're fabulous at their art made from recycled materials. All the craftsmen and women are incredibly talented and inspirational. Watching their process helped me in the writing project I was there for. Walking excursions to see impala and baboons was also an inspirational journey. Meal times are shared—which was a fun way to get to know the other guests, Nani and Erick. I'm excited to come back with my staff and friends!

This a very cool house, it's like living in a Gaudi masterpiece and definitely a very unique place to stay. The top deck looking out over the gorge is particularly stunning. On the property there are lots of animals - monkeys, baboons, hyrexs, pigs, geese, even camels! Overall the setting and feeling like you are living in a village that is a work of art was very cool. We wished we had more time to explore. A couple of things to consider, it is definitely a bit bush living in that the water coming out of the shower/tub was very brown, the hot water only is available when the wood burning water heater is lit, so no hot water in the evening. There is a small functional kitchen so we would recommend bringing some supplies if you don't want to eat communally. Host was easy to work with. Be sure you understand the directions to avoid getting lost as it is not in Kitengela town.

I stayed in the glass house at Nani's Kitengele glass art compound and the experience was incredible. All of the house staff was friendly and dedicated to make sure my stay was comfortable, and Bo was attentive and quick to trapping to questions by email and message. I couldn't recommend a place more, 10 stars out of 5!!

We work as a team, we are artists and farmers, we love to host and recycle glass into art. We also have an organic farm with many animals.
