Yggdrasiltunet is idyllically situated on the island of Kvaløya, 45 minutes from the centre of Tromsø.
The farmstead benefits from a stunning location and is surrounded on all sides by beautiful north Norwegian wilderness. This is a place where you can allow your soul be at peace, that is harmonious to the eye, where you can find pleasure for your taste buds, and form an overall sense of wellbeing.
At Yggdrasiltunet you can experience the northern lights in winter, the midnight sun in summer, and beautiful scenery in the mountains as well as by the sea.
Upon request we are able to serve traditional cuisine, but we are also happy to provide delicious alternatives suited to vegetarian and raw food diets.
We will be happy to attend to your every need and will do everything to ensure that your stay is both special and enjoyable.
We have two cottages, and each containing two double rooms.
The cabins have bedroom facilities and toilet.

The price of a hole cabin is 1600,-
Kitchen, living room and shower are in the main building,
which is next door to the cottages.
The main building is an incredibly nice house.
From this house there is a fabulous view of the mountains
and the sea.
We also have a nice little apartment.
This is a large double room have bathroom and a small kitchenette.
There are lots of windows in the room and a wonderful view
toward nature. The apartment has a private balcony.
The atmosphere at Yggdrasiltunet is peaceful, harmonious and
beautiful. The price of the apartment is 1250,- for one night.
Yggdrasiltunet lies north of the Arctic Circle - and right in the auroral zone, which circles the magnetic North Pole. If you want to experience this amazing natural phenomenon in the sky, this is a good place to go. When fall and darkness come to northern Norway, the circumstances are perfect for observing the Northern Lights, if the weather is clear and the sun's activity provides the right conditions. It can manifest itself in many forms, colors and speeds of variations.
Yggdrasiltunet is the perfect place to experience the northern lights because there is no light pollution and the surrounding nature creates a beautiful frame for the experience. A truly fascinating and breathtaking adventure in the earths encounter with outer space.
You have no need to book guided tours to see the Northern Lights. With a stay at Yggdrasiltunet you can enjoy the northern lights right outside your cabin.
Many of our guests have given feedback that they appreciate being able to go into the main house to take a nice cup of tea, edit images, send photos and info to friends.
It is possible to take a bus from Tromsø and Tromsø Airport. Bus Station in Tromsø marked with the name - Prostneset. Airport marked Tromsø Lufthavn. The bus does not run into the main entrance of the airport, but stops in the street below, just below the parking garage. It takes about four minutes to walk from the main entrance to the bus stop. Bus station at Yggdrasiltunet is Bakkejord, Solvang. Most bus drivers know where Yggdrasiltunet is. Tell the bus driver that you will be off by Yggdrasiltunet. To search for travel times, enter departure, for example Tromso Airport and arrival, which is Bakkejord, Solvang.

Food orders can be made by email before you arrive. All our dishes are homemade so you must order food, no later than the evening before serving. Baccalao can be ordered on the same day.

At Yggdrasiltunet you can order dinner, lunch, lunch, cakes and coffee in our small cafe. We serve homemade Norwegian traditional Food.
