We welcome you to an attractive apartment situated in a private house. We are surrounded by a garden in a excellent position only 15 minutes walk from the historical Old town and beaches.
A lovely modern clean apartment. As mention previously the hike back from old town is a bit of a killer but there is a bus stop close by as an alternative. Got shuttled to the airport on our checkout day as well which was very helpful and convenient. Kitchen well equipped. Lots of towels and in nice quiet location.
This apartment was perfect for our honeymoon getaway in Dubrovnik! The family who owns the apartment offers shuttles to/from the airport (which I highly recommend), and were a wealth of knowledge for us as it came to getting to know and understand the city of Dubrovnik. They had a plethora of information for us on food, excursions, day trips, rentals, etc. The apartment was just as darling as it seems in photos! It was about a .9mi walk from the Old Town (which we truly enjoyed). It gives you a true taste of what living in Dubrovnik is like, and a chance to view the incredible street/stairs and city architecture. We will definitely be staying again on our next journey to Croatia!
The apartment itself is adorable and clean. Very well stocked and very comfortable. The market is close enough, it's a small market, so you can't get everything, but you can probably get all you need. There is air conditioning in both the living room and the bedroom. The bathroom is just wonderful, great big shower, nice hot water, everything was great. I only have two complaints of the whole stay. 1. The distance from town- I know other reviews mentioned this, however we were 15/20 minutes walk away from town (walking down hundreds of stairs) but the return was brutal. In scorching heat, even fit people will truly struggle to return. There was nothing near us. If we wanted a restaurant, or a bar, our only option was to trek all the way to town. 2. Upon arriving we were not met my Marijana, but by a man who seemed really stressed out and all over the place. He showed us the place like a chicken with his head cut off and then explained how to get to town and left. He did offer to drive us to the airport for €30 and we took him up on that since we didn't have a ride planned yet. He picked us up promptly and began driving. During the drive he aggressively laughed at us and called us (Americans) stupid for thinking 9/11 was a terrorist attack instead of an inside job. We asked him to stop talking about this and he only continued to aggressively tell us how stupid we were while literally laughing hysterically at our stupidity. Also on the drive to the airport he was texting while driving on narrow, curvy mountain roads and swerving the car- we did not feel safe. He even talked about how unsafe texting and driving is but then said "but we don't care" and continued, I would suggest, if you stay here, to not take him up on his offer of an airport ride and just call an Uber for the same exact price.
