Great location

A highly unique home & recently fully refurbished. Enjoy socialising in the open plan lounge/kitchen or relax in the oversized bath. A minute's stroll from both the iconic Pavilion and the famous pier.

Due to unforeseen circumstances relating to the Covid-19 lockdown measures, I am having to cancel a number of bookings for 2020. This will affect my ratings. But please be aware this is not something I have ever done before or do lightly.

Due to unforeseen circumstances relating to the Covid-19 lockdown measures, I am having to cancel a number of bookings for 2020. This will affect my ratings. But please be aware this is not something I have ever done before or do lightly. And I hope to be back in full business shortly.

My flat is very much my home and I like to think it has its very own distinctive charm which reflects the city it is located in. And a Brighton flat could not be more centrally located than this! Situated in the heart of the historic Lanes amongst award winning restaurants and plenty of bars, East Street rarely sleeps. Fortunately both bedrooms are located at the back of the property and so once done with an evening of (usually highly entertaining) people watching, the sound dies away once in bed. The flat is also a stone's throw from the beach and pier and one minute from the famous Pavilion.

Guest access
Guests will have access to all rooms in the flat, and as far as making the most of amenities, it would have to be the oversized bath which wins the prize for biggest luxury, and goes great with a glass of wine.
Of the couple of 'off-limit areas', a couple of cupboards will have personal belongings in them, and the fire, while functional, is off limits for health and safety reasons.

Location

Brighton, United Kingdom

Aside from being 30 seconds from Brighton's famous pebbled beach, and one minute from the iconic Royal Pavilion, East Street can also boast of being the back drop to two legendary British films.

In the classic 1947 adaptation of Graham Greene's novel 'Brighton Rock', several scenes are shot in a pub. The building that this pub is located in sits on the corner of East Street and King's Road, on the sea-front. In one of the final scenes, the protagonist Pinkie bolts out of the pub and you briefly get a shot of the street.

The 1979 cult classic Quadrophenia was also shot in Brighton. Famously set to music by The Who, the film tells the story about the on-going clashes between the mods and rockers during the 1960s. In one scene a full blown riot breaks out on East Street between the two gangs and the police, at which point the two main characters, Jimmy and Steph, duck down a side alley to have sex while all hell breaks loose all around them. The fabled 'Quadrophenia Alley' is directly opposite the apartment's lounge window.

Hello there! I am a 35 year old gay guy, and like so many Brightonians I started out life in another part of the country, but moved here some 12 or 13 years ago for the city's progressive values, laid-back charm, and of course... the beach.
During your stay
I have a very well tried and tested system for getting keys to guests no matter the time of day or night. Upon arrival guests will find hand-out sheets with everything they will need to know about the apartment, as well as listings of great places to eat, drink and visit in the city. I am also available by phone throughout each day for queries and 24 hours for emergencies.
