What can I say? Eryk is what makes L'aubergine rouge. He's amazing! We loved his company and our stay and we can't wait until our next trip to Arles. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with him. He introduced us to the best places to eat, took us to the market, showed us where to get the best bread. Eryk went out of his way to help us when we got into an accident and we are extremely grateful. Truly a gem.

We were greeted here by Eric with our names written in chalk on the front door, the apartment is exactly what we imagined a french town house would look like very beautiful. Our room was very big on the 1st floor with a very comfy bed and great bathroom. The kitchen was supplied with all the basics, oil, milk, butter and all the equipment we needed. Eric and Augusto brought around a bottle of champagne for our 2nd year wedding anniversary and were happy to sit and chat, they also recommended and arranged a couple of nights accommodation for us in the northern part of Provence that was just as stunning as they had told us. Overall an excellent stay in a beautiful town.

Eryk's place is truly a gem. Perfectly situated in the old city, the building has been lovingly and artfully transformed into a bohemian hideaway. Love the eclectic and humorous touches everywhere you look. I stayed in the Vinyl Room and was so taken back to my youth by 'playing records' again for the first time in decades that I didn't want to leave the house! But I did eventually get out to explore Arles and Eryk's advice on restaurants, the sights, the market, parking and an excellent general orientation made my weekend stay the perfect getaway. I do recommend however, that you make your dinner reservations before you arrive, as many places are cozy and fill up quickly. I hope to return to Arles and the Aubergine Rouge on a future trip to the region.

Extremely comfortable with minute attention to detail in the furnishings. The vinyl collection is terrific -- makes you want to spend more time in the room to play more records. Great location.
