Buses to Wells and Weston every hour.
Nearest train station is Yatton ,and there is a lovely cycle path from there to Cheddar ,about 10 miles.
Falcon coach runs from Bristol to Plymouth almost every hour , will stop to pick up and drop off , on the A38 at Shute Shelve . From there it is a pleasant 3 mile walk along a mainly off road route to Cheddar, several of my visitors have used this service to get to us.
Other things to note
Solo Travellers ,I am happy to offer better rates for one guest ,please enquire and I will quote you a price .
There is space in our garden for a small tent or two for extra guests if they wish to camp.
It is now heading into the colder winter months , just to point out to guests ,the only heat source in the hut is the wood stove ,and if you wish to be warm and cosy in there , you will need to manage the fire lighting and keeping it going , a relatively easy task! We supply all the wood etc.
Smoking outside is fine. No candles in the hut , it is made of rather a lot of wood

Hi There , I live right next to Cheddar Gorge in an old cottage with my teenage daughter and various animals. I love the outdoors ,cycling, walking ,camping or just lazing in the sunshine. We live in such a lovely place, it seemed the obvious thing to do was to accept guests from around the world to share this beautiful countryside on our doorstep. I have a relaxed approach to hosting , happy to give advice about things to do and see ,or just to let you discover for yourselves what is out there. I have spent a large part of my life in the cycle trade so bike repairs is second nature to me ,I also enjoy working with natural elements of wood and stone.
I do not own a smartphone at the moment so it can sometimes take a few hours for me to respond to a request, so please be patient!
