The space

A clean and comfortable room on a quiet street in Amsterdam 's most popular neighborhood "De Pijp".
This is a one bedroom apartment and can accommodate a maximum of one person.

The room is located on the ground floor so no stairs, for those with heavy suitcases.

The bathroom and kitchen are clean and shared with me. There is wireless internet included.

This room is ideal for guests who have business downtown. Public transportation such as tram lines are located 5 minutes walking distance.
The city center is a ten minutes bike ride away, from where you will be situated.

These attractions are also very close by; the famous and lovely Albert Cuyp Market (A flee market), where you can buy fresh food and other merchandises and the Sarphati Park, named after the famous Dutch physician doctor Sarphati. There are many different kinds of restaurants and cafés around the corner.

Gil's place is great for one person. It is about 10 minutes away from the Heineken Experience, the Albert Cuyp Market is just around the corner and very easy to walk to central Amsterdam. I walked most of the time, and as a solo female I felt safe. Unfortunately Gil wasn't there, but Aisha was very helpful and answered any questions I had. Check in and check out were easy.

Well connected private room with heaps of personal space. There are tram stops within five minutes walk (within half an hour of everything) and the street is nice and quiet. Check in was a little tricky due to back-to-back bookings, but I was able to drop my bags off and explore the city until Gil's flatmate (main host) came home. Good levels of communication throughout.

I do not recommend this room for longer stays, since it wasn't what I was expecting it to be. I din't meet Gil, only his roommate. Perhaps things would be different had he been there. The room itself is quite similar to its pictures and there are no problems with it, but it is a bit darker than it looks. The shower could be cleaner, but there was a good flow of water, so no big problems there also. But the kitchen was quite messy and I felt discouraged to cook. I felt more in the way than actually welcome, which could just be me though. I won't be coming back, but there are other positive reviews for this place, so you could give it a go if you want to. It is a bit far from the city center, but you can still walk to it and to the Museumplein. It really is near the Albert Cuyp Market. There is a supermarket not very far from it.

A very good start to walk via the city. The room is large and clean. And the market nearby is very good for lunch or dinner

Recently stayed at Gil's place in De Pijp. Great location easily accessible by Tram or walk to major attractions. Comfy bed and a very reasonable price.

I am a musician and music producer living in Amsterdam, The Netherlands and on Ibiza. I divide my time between playing the piano on stage and working with artists in the studio.

Besides music, I love science and technology, in particular astronomy and all things relating to the stars :-) Have been a SGI Nichiren Buddhist for about 5 years and am loving it. I am hospitable and enjoy meeting new people.
