This is not an air bnb it is a hostel. You share the hostel with 6 other rooms of up to 4 people in each room with one bathroom and a small kitchen. The room I had, with the balcony, is incredibly noisy, on a main road with no appropriate windows to reduce the noise. You will get woken at 7am each day by the bin men. Also a glass door so if you are not kept awake by the road noise you will be by the light going on and off in the hall every time someone else arrives home, if they can work the keys. Also the joy of seeing a shadowy figure trying to gain access to the room in the middle of the night. I have noted the host tends to criticise honest reviews, therefore to confirm all of my other air bnb reviews have been very good.

Julia and Alex's home is clean and bright, everything is very nice and modern. It is right opposite a metro station which is useful as it is a 40 minute walk to the gothic centre. It is only 15 minutes walk from hip el raval and the university area which we liked as young people. Julia provided coffee and fresh towels and made sure the room was kept nice -- even though we didn't see her that often! There are 4 other rooms in the apartment so there was sometimes a wait for the one bathroom but there was no noise or anything like that, still very quiet and relaxing. Also if you stay there make sure you get Julia to show you how to use the keys -- there is a trick to the locks and it took us afew days to figure out! Overall a great stay, I'd recommend this apartment :) gracias Julia, Chloe

The room was very spacious and clean and we hardly noticed sharing a bathroom. The kitchen faculties were good and we had hot drink making facilities and a large television in the room as well as 2 sofas! The balcony was also a nice addition to the room and had a little table and chairs to sit out in the sun! There is also a good hairdryer for communal use and Julia was very helpful when we needed to borrow an iron. The location is central and there is a metro stations right on the doorstep! I didn't realise how big Barcelona is so expect to use the metro and do lots of walking. The air conditioning is good but it has a communal control and you are not permitted to change the temperature- although it was set to a nice temperature by the owners. The owners do not speak fluent English but they can communicate enough to ensure you have all you need. We absolutely loved Barcelona and would stay again at this apartment!

Julia was a good host and was really helpful and patient when our flight got delayed. the location is ideal, not far to walk to the centre, but 30 seconds from the metro. the neighbour hood also felt very safe. the room we had was exactly as described and was very comfortable and clean. our only issue was the amount of people sharing one bathroom as it meant we often had to wait a while to use. However this was our only issue, apart from that we were very pleased with this accommodation.
